2022–23 UAE Division One is the 46th Division one season. This seasons will expand the league from 15 to 17 teams as more teams from UAE Second Division League got promoted to the league. UAE Division One
UAE First Division League is the second tier of football league competition in the United Arab Emirates. As of 2020–21, the league features 15 sides who play each other in a home and away round-robin format, with a total of 28 games for each team. The top two sides gain promotion to the UAE Pro-League. On 29 May 2019, UAEFA announced that a UAE Second Division League to be established with smaller clubs, privately owned clubs, football academies with semi-professional teams compete for promotion to UAE Division one. On 6 July 2022, UAEFA announced that the number of participants will increase to 17 teams for the 2022–23 season. An increase of 2 teams, promoted from the UAE Second Division, and no relegation for UAE First Division clubs from the 2021–22 season, in an expansion season. Al Bataeh Club
Al Bataeh Club is a professional Association football, football club from Al Bataeh, Emirate of Sharjah, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The team joined the UAE football league in 2019–20 season. History Founded in 2012, the club started its sporting activities with table tennis and athletics. The football team was established in 2013 as a youth academy and competed in many youth tournaments. In 2019, the club joined the UAE football league system in the UAE First Division League, while its first season was interrupted due to COVID-19 pandemic, it consistently performed well, finishing 3rd in both of their first two seasons. The club would secure promotion in 2021 after finishing second in the 2021–22 UAE Division 1, 2021–22 season, becoming one of the fastest clubs to get promoted as they only spent three seasons in the second tier. Masfout Cultural & Sports Club, commonly known as Masfout Club, is a professional football club from Masfut, an exclave of the Emirate of Ajman, United Arab Emirates.
