Airside (building)
Airside (stylized as AIRSIDE) is a skyscraper developed by Nan Fung Group (Nan Fung) in Hong Kong. Located in the Kai Tak neighbourhood in Kowloon, Airside forms part of the Kai Tak Development on the former area of Kai Tak Airport. The skyscraper is 207 m tall and was opened on 28 September 2023 including an entrance into Kai Tak station Kai Tak () is an underground MTR rapid transit station located on the Tuen Ma line, in the Kai Tak Development area of Hong Kong (near the old east apron of the former Kai Tak Airport in Kowloon City District). Kai Tak
The Kai Tak Development (), abbreviated as "KTD" and formerly called South East Kowloon Development (), refers to the redevelopment of the former Kai Tak Airport site in Kai Tak (constituency), Kai Tak, Kowloon, Hong Kong. After the airport relocated to Chek Lap Kok in 1998, the Hong Kong government planned for urban development on the old airport site. The plan calls for a multi-purpose sports complex, a metro park, the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, a hotel, a housing estate, and commercial and entertainment construction projects over an area of more than . Kowloon City District is one of the districts of Hong Kong, 18 districts of Hong Kong. It is located in the city of Kowloon and cut through by Boundary Street. It had a population of 381,352 in 2001, and increased to 418,732 in 2016. The district has the third most educated residents while its residents enjoy the highest income in Kowloon. Kai Tak Station
Kai Tak () is an underground MTR rapid transit station located on the Tuen Ma line, in the Kai Tak Development area of Hong Kong (near the old east apron of the former Kai Tak Airport in Kowloon City District). The station was opened on 14 February 2020 as part of the Tuen Ma line's first phase. It provides access to the multi-purpose Kai Tak Sports Park, as well as other facilities of the Kai Tak area. The station was built as part of the Sha Tin to Central Link (SCL). History The contract to construct Kai Tak station (and the approach tunnels), valued at HK$1,422,000,000, was awarded on 25 April 2013 to the Kaden- Chun Wo joint venture. Kai Tak Airport
Kai Tak Airport was an international airport of Hong Kong from 1925 until 1998. Officially known as Hong Kong International Airport from 1954 to 6 July 1998, it is often referred to as Hong Kong International Airport, Kai Tak, or simply Kai Tak and Kai Tak International Airport, to distinguish it from its successor, Chek Lap Kok International Airport, built on reclaimed and levelled land around the islands of Chek Lap Kok and Lam Chau, to the west. Because of the geography of the area, with water on three sides of the runway, Kowloon City's residential apartment complexes to the north-west and mountains more than high to the north-east of the airport, aircraft could not fly over the mountains and quickly drop in for a final approach.
