Kai Tak Station
Kai Tak () is an underground MTR rapid transit station located on the Tuen Ma line, in the Kai Tak Development area of Hong Kong (near the old east apron of the former Kai Tak Airport in Kowloon City District). The station was opened on 14 February 2020 as part of the Tuen Ma line's first phase. It provides access to the multi-purpose Kai Tak Sports Park, as well as other facilities of the Kai Tak area. The station was built as part of the Sha Tin to Central Link (SCL). History The contract to construct Kai Tak station (and the approach tunnels), valued at HK$1,422,000,000, was awarded on 25 April 2013 to the Kaden- Chun Wo joint venture. Kai Tak Development
The Kai Tak Development (), abbreviated as "KTD" and formerly called South East Kowloon Development (), refers to the redevelopment of the former Kai Tak Airport site in Kai Tak, Kowloon, Hong Kong. After the airport relocated to Chek Lap Kok in 1998, the Hong Kong government planned for urban development on the old airport site. The plan calls for a multi-purpose sports complex, a metro park, the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, a hotel, a housing estate, and commercial and entertainment construction projects over an area of more than . Sha Tin To Central Link
The Sha Tin to Central Link (abbreviated SCL; ) was an expansion project of the MTR public transport network in Hong Kong. It was divided into two sections and expanded the network’s Passenger rail terminology#Heavy rail, heavy rail lines. The first section, named "Tuen Ma line (Phase 1)”, runs from Tai Wai station in the New Territories to Hung Hom station in Kowloon. The Tai Wai–Hung Hom segment connected the Ma On Shan line and West Rail line, forming the new Tuen Ma line. Operation of the Tai Wai to Kai Tak section began on 14 February 2020. The opening of the section from Kai Tak to Hung Hom was delayed and opened on 27 June 2021. Wu Kai Sha is the northeastern terminus of the of the MTR rail transit system in Hong Kong. Tuen Mun is an MTR station in Tuen Mun, New Territories, Hong Kong. It is the western terminus of the . The station is elevated over the Tuen Mun River, near the Town Park in the centre of Tuen Mun New Town. Tuen Mun station is an interchange station with the Tuen Mun stop and Ho Tin stop.
