Tsaradia
Tsaradia is a domestic airline based in Antananarivo, Madagascar. It is a subsidiary of Air Madagascar and commenced operations on 2 July 2018. History Tsaradia was launched as a subsidiary of Air Madagascar after a strategic partnering between Air Austral and Air Madagascar. The airline was originally planned to launch in April 2018 but commenced operations on 2 July 2018. Based out of Ivato International Airport in Antananarivo, Tsaradia serves the domestic markets. As a result, Air Madagascar no longer flies to domestic destinations since they are exclusively served by the Tsaradia subsidiary. Tsaradia's name translates to "good flight" or "good travel" in Malagasy, the indigenous language of Madagascar. Douglas DC-7
The Douglas DC-7 is an American transport aircraft built by the Douglas Aircraft Company from 1953 to 1958. A derivative of the DC-6, it was the last major piston engine-powered transport made by Douglas, being developed shortly after the earliest jet airliner—the de Havilland Comet—entered service and only a few years before the jet-powered Douglas DC-8 first flew in 1958. Unlike other aircraft in Douglas's line of propeller-driven aircraft, no examples remain in service in the present day, as compared to the far more successful DC-3 and DC-6. Design and development In 1945 Pan American World Airways requested a DC-7, a civil version of the Douglas C-74 Globemaster military transport. Pan Am soon canceled their order. Albert Sylla
Albert Sylla (18 February 1909 – 19 July 1967) was a Malagasy medical doctor and politician. Early life Sylla was born to an unknown French father and a Creole mother, Louisa Sylla on 18 February 1909 in Tuléar. As a child he was educated in nous Catholic missions, attending the Brothers of Saint Gabriel in Nosy Be, and later the College of the Saint Joseph Christian Brothers in Tamatave. After being admitted to the Myre de Vilers school, he began studies at the School of Medicine in Antananarivo in 1926, where he gained the rank of Senior Medical Officer; the highest degree attainable by local officials. Personal life In 1932 in Tamatave he married Laguet, a lady of European and Réunion Creole heritage, and they had six children. The family lived in Fianarantsoa, Tuléar, Tananarive, Mananara, Île Sainte-Marie and lastly Tamatave, where he was posted in September 1946, after the birth of his son Jacques. Antsiranana ( mg, Antsiran̈ana ), named Diego-Suárez prior to 1975, is a city in the far north of Madagascar. Antsiranana is the capital of Diana Region. It had an estimated population of 115,015 in 2013. History The bay and city originally used the name ''Diego-Suárez'', named after Diogo Soares, a Portuguese navigator who visited the bay in 1543–44. The Boeing 707 is an American, long-range, narrow-body airliner, the first jetliner developed and produced by Boeing Commercial Airplanes.
