Abid Kashmiri
Abid Kashmiri (; 4 May 1950 – 11 October 2024) was a Pakistani film, television and stage actor, known for his career as a comedian. He worked in Pakistani Urdu films and dramas as well as working in stage dramas. Life and career Kashmirir was born on 4 May 1950 in Lahore, Punjab. He was married and had two sons and two daughters. He started his acting career as a comedian from the early 1980s. Death At the age of 74, Kashmiri died on October 11, 2024, from a heart attack. The Nigar Awards () were presented in an annual award show to recognize outstanding achievement in Pakistani cinema, after having been revived in 2017 following a 15-year absence. The honors are awarded by Nigar Magazine founded in 1948. The Nigar Awards are Pakistan's version of the Academy Awards. The annual presentation ceremony features performances by prominent artists. The first Nigar Awards ceremony was held in 1957, to honor the accomplishments of Pakistani cinema for the year 1956.
