Aarno Ruusuvuori
Aarno Emil Ruusuvuori (14 January 1925, Kuopio – 22 February 1992, Helsinki) was a Finnish architect, professor and director of the Museum of Finnish Architecture. He studied at the Helsinki University of Technology, completing his studies in 1951. Ruusuvuori was one of the most renowned architects in Finland during the 1960s, well known for designing modernist buildings, often using exposed concrete, often in the brutalist style. His best-known works are the Tapiola Church and the Weilin & Göös Print Works in Espoo (1964–66) and the Hyvinkää Church (1961). Aarno Yrjö-Koskinen
Aarno Armas Sakari Yrjö-Koskinen (9 December 1885, Helsinki – 8 June 1951, Helsinki) was a Finnish politician, Envoy and freiherr. He graduated as jurist and received the title varatuomari in 1915. After the Finnish independence in 1917, Yrjö-Koskinen served under the Ministry for Foreign Affairs as Chief of political division from 1924 and Chief of staff from 1929. He worked as an Envoy in Moscow between 1 January 1931 and 8 April 1940. Yrjö-Koskinen also served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs between 21 March 1931 and 15 December 1932. During his ministry Yrjö-Koskinen signed on behalf of Finland the Soviet–Finnish Non-Aggression Pact with the Soviet Union. At beginning of the Winter War he moved from Moscow to the Finnish embassy in Ankara. Aarno Henrik Maliniemi (surname until 1930 ''Malin''; 9 May 1892 – 8 October 1972) was a Finnish historian, professor in church history at Helsinki University 1945–1960. Maliniemi was an expert on the medieval church. He studied early Finnish literature, and was editor of a number of publications and bibliographies. Maliniemi was born in Oulu. Aarno Raninen
Aarno Raninen (27 April 1944 – 3 September 2014) was a Finnish singer, songwriter and musician. His main instrument was piano but he has also mastered violin, cello and accordion. Born in Kotka, Raninen began his musical studies at a young age. After he moved to Helsinki in 1966 he got a job as a studio conductor at Musiikki-Fazer. While working there he made a lot of cooperative work with the likes of songwriter Juha Vainio. Later on Raninen went to work in Discophon where he wrote lyrics for many Finnish musicians, such as Seija Simola, Carola, Tauno Palo, Vesa-Matti Loiri, Monica Aspelund, Heikki Kinnunen, Arja Koriseva, Erkki Liikanen and the Soitinmenot-ensemble. An important acquaintance for Raninen has been the songwriter for film and television, Pertti "Pertsa" Reponen. Erkki Aarno Mallenius (12 January 1928 – 2 July 2003) was a Finnish amateur boxer who won a bronze medal in the light welterweight division at the 1952 Olympics. Mallenius took up boxing in 1945 and in 1946 won the Finnish junior lightweight title. He never held a senior national title, and qualified to the Helsinki Olympics by winning the 1952 Olympic trials.
