Hungary was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 with the song "Wars for Nothing", written by Áron Sebestyén, Boglárka Csemer and Sára Hélène Bori. The song was performed by Boggie. The Hungarian broadcaster Media Services and Support Trust Fund (MTVA) in collaboration with the Hungarian public broadcaster Magyar Televízió (MTV), organised the national final ''A Dal 2015'' in order to select the Hungarian entry for the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, Austria. Following a six-week long selection process, Boggie emerged as the winner with the acoustic guitar driven ballad "Wars for Nothing". In the first of the Eurovision semi-finals "Wars for Nothing" placed eighth out of the 16 participating countries, securing its place among the 27 other songs in the final. In Hungary's thirteenth Eurovision appearance on 23 May, "Wars for Nothing" finished in twentieth place, receiving 19 points. Boggie
Boglárka Csemer (, born 30 November 1986 in Budapest, Hungary), professionally known as Boggie, is a Hungarian pop vocalist and songwriter. Globally, Boggie is best known for her 2014 hit single entitled "Nouveau Parfum" () from her self-titled debut studio album ''Boggie'' (2013). While the song went number one on Hungary's Association of Hungarian Record Companies, MAHASZ chart, it also found its way to two Billboard charts reaching number three on its Jazz Album Chart and number 17 on its World Music Album Chart. Fool Moon (band)
Fool Moon is an a cappella group formed in Szeged, Hungary in September 2001. Through their out-of-the-ordinary music lessons, master classes and TV appearances, Fool Moon has brought the pop-acappella genre to the centre of attention in Hungary. Fool Moon has so far released 7 albums, got 13 international and Hungarian awards and prizes, and the band has collaborated with many of the most prestigious artists of the Hungarian music scene. The group released its debut album titled ''Stars'' in 2003 featuring their own five part a cappella arrangements of Hungarian pop hits. Hungary was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 with the song "What About My Dreams?" written by Viktor Rakonczai, Gergő Rácz, Johnny K. Palmer and Péter Geszti. Fecó Balázs (born Ferenc Balázs; Budapest, 2 March 1951 – 26 November 2020) was a Hungarian singer, songwriter, and keyboardist and the founder of popular Hungarian rock band Korál. Biography Balázs was born in Budapest and attended a music high school in his hometown. He created an orchestra already while learning, and in 1967 he joined the pop band Neoton Família (then simply called Neoton). In 1972 he left Neoton and co-founded the band Taurus EX-T 25 75 82, Hungary's first hard rock band and one of the country's first supergroups as its keyboardist and singer. After releasing two singles and unable to convince record label Hungaroton to record an album, Taurus broke up in 1973 and Balázs spent two years abroad. He returned to Hungary in 1976 and joined the backing band of singer Zsuzsa Koncz. In 1978 he founded the rock band Korál, which became one of Hungary's most popular rock bands in the 1980s and toured abroad in Bulgaria, Yugoslavia and the Soviet Union. ... Magdolna "Magdi" Rúzsa (; ; born 28 November 1985) is a Hungarian singer who won the 2006 title of ''Megasztár'' (''"Megastar"''), Hungary's nationwide talent search, that resembles, but is not based on, ''Pop Idol''. Pierrot ( , ; ), a stock character of pantomime and commedia dell'arte, has his origins in the late 17th-century Italian troupe of players performing in Paris and known as the Comédie-Italienne.
