3Music Awards 2022
The 5th 3Music Awards was held on 26 March 2022 at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre, in Accra to recognize the works of artists in the year under review. It was broadcast by TV3, 3MUSIC TV, DGN and HD +. The ceremony's theme was ''''More Than Music'''', and was held in-person with an audience following the previous year's virtual ceremony. The nominees were announced on 15 February 2022 during a ceremony at the Teelande Tea Garden in Accra, Ghana. Kuami Eugene received the most nominations with 16, followed by Sarkodie who had 13 and KiDi who received 10 nominations. On 14 March, Boomplay was announced as an official partner of the awards. The media steaming service sponsored three main categories of the awards; The Artiste of the Year, African Song of the Year and Breakthrough Act of the Year. The 3 Music Award is Ghanaian people, Ghanaian music awards ceremony held annually since 2018 to celebrate Ghanaian music. It was established by the 3Music Network with TV3 Ghana, Media General TV3 as broadcasters. The Multimedia Group Limited, Multimedia group became the media right holder in the second and subsequent edition. In 2020, the Fan fest which was scheduled to take place at the Accra Polo Grounds was cancelled and a Virtual award ceremony was held from the Fantasy Dome, Ghana Trade Fair Center, Trade Fair La. This was because of the ban on public gathering due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Raphael Camidoh Kofi Attachie (born 21 January 1994) known by his stage name Camidoh is an Afropop, R&B and Afrobeats singer and songwriter from Aflao in the Volta Region of Ghana. Early life and education Camidoh was born in Aflao in the Volta Region of Ghana and raised by a single mother in Ho, the capital of Volta Region, Ghana. From 2008 to 2012 Camidoh obtained his secondary education from Bishop Herman College, in Kpando Kpando Municipal District where he majored in General Arts. David Adedeji Adeleke (born November 21, 1992), known professionally as Davido, is a Nigerian American, Nigerian-American singer, songwriter and record producer. Emmanuel Kwamina Amonoo (born September 11, 1993) also known by the stage name Quamina MP is a Ghanaian musician and record producer. Early life Quamina MP was born on the 11th of September in Takoradi. He lived and was brought up in Mankessim where he had his basic education.
