2S39 Magnolia
2S39 "Magnolia" (Russian: 2С39 «Магнолия»; "Magnolia") is a Russian self-propelled 120 mm mortar system developed for the Russian Armed Forces by Burevestnik. TASS first reported on the project in November 2017. Magnolia was developed for units deployed in the Far North. It is being built on the basis of the DT-30PM articulated tracked vehicle. Development Magnolia was developed as part of the "Nabrosok" program. In 2021 it was reported that state trials for the system would end in 2022. In August 2022 Uralvagonzavod reported that it started serial production of the Magnolia system. The term turbo-diesel, also written as turbodiesel and turbo diesel, refers to any diesel engine equipped with a turbocharger. As with other engine types, turbocharging a diesel engine can significantly increase its efficiency and power output, especially when used in combination with an intercooler. Turbocharging of diesel engines began in the 1920s with large marine and stationary engines. Locking Differential
A locking differential is a mechanical component, commonly used in vehicles, designed to overcome the chief limitation of a standard open Differential (mechanical device), differential by essentially "locking" both wheels on an axle together as if on a common shaft. This forces both wheels to turn in unison, regardless of the traction (or lack thereof) available to either wheel individually.
