2024 Tide 150
The 2024 Tide 150 was the 5th stock car race of the 2024 ARCA Menards Series season, and the 5th iteration of the event. The race was held on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas, a 1.5 mile (2.4 km) permanent asphalt quad-oval shaped intermediate speedway. The race took the scheduled 100 laps to complete. Connor Mosack, driving for Pinnacle Racing Group, would make a late race pass on Tanner Gray for the lead in the final stages of the race, and led the final 12 laps to earn his second career ARCA Menards Series win, and his first of the season. Gray, who started on the pole, had dominated the majority of the race, leading a race-high 86 laps before being passed and finishing 2nd. Spring race The Tide 150 is an ARCA Menards Series race held at Kansas Speedway. It is held on the race weekend of the NASCAR Cup Series' AdventHealth 400. History The race was added to the schedule in 2020 after the cancellation of the race at Chicagoland Speedway due to COVID-19 regulations in Illinois. It then became a permanent race on the ARCA Menards Series schedule in 2021. In each year in that the race has been run, the race has been won by the driver who went on to win the series championship: Bret Holmes won it in 2020, which was his first ARCA win. Tri-oval
A tri-oval is a shape which derives its name from the two other shapes it most resembles, a triangle and an Oval (geometry), oval. Rather than meeting at sharp, definable angles as the sides of a triangle do, in a tri-oval these angles are instead rounded into smooth curves. While an oval has four turns, a tri-oval has six. Ryan James Huff (born April 13, 2001) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He competes part-time in the ARCA Menards Series, driving the No. 36 Ford Fusion for his own team, Ryan Huff Motorsports. He has previously competed in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Lavar Scott (born September 6, 2003) is an American professional stock car racing driver who competes full-time in the ARCA Menards Series, driving the No. 6 Chevrolet SS for Rev Racing. He is also a current member of NASCAR’s Driver Development Program.
