Tide 150
The Tide 150 is an ARCA Menards Series race held at Kansas Speedway. It is one of two races the series has at the track, the other being the Kansas Lottery 150 in September. The race was added to the schedule in 2020 after the cancellation of the race at Chicagoland Speedway due to COVID-19 regulations in Illinois. It then became a permanent race on the ARCA Menards Series schedule in 2021. So far in each year in that the race has been run, the race has been won by the driver who went on to win the series championship: Bret Holmes won it in 2020, which was his first ARCA win. Ty Gibbs won the 2021 race and also led every single lap in it, becoming the first driver since Kevin Swindell in 2012 at Chicagoland Speedway to lead every single lap of a main ARCA Series race. The ARCA Menards Series is an American stock car series, the premier division of the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA). It is considered a minor, semi-professional league of stock car racing, used as a feeder series into the three national touring series of NASCAR, and hosts events at a variety of track types including superspeedways, road courses, and dirt tracks. The series has had a longstanding relationship with NASCAR, including using former NASCAR Cup Series cars, hosting events in the same race weekend such as Daytona Speedweeks, and naming an award after NASCAR founder Bill France, Sr. However, the series was not officially affiliated with NASCAR until its buyout on April 27, 2018. Bret Holmes Racing is an American professional stock car racing team that fields the No. 23 Chevrolet SS part-time in the ARCA Menards Series and the No. 32 Chevrolet Silverado full-time in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. The General Tire 150 is a annual ARCA Menards Series race held at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina. The inaugural event was held on May 18, 1996 and was won by Tim Steele. The race was originally held during the month of May between 1996 and 2004, after which it was removed from the calendar. The race returned to the series in 2018 and has remained since. History ARCA previously ran at Charlotte Motor Speedway from 1996 to 2004. In 1996 and 1997, the series ran three times at the speedway: twice in May and once in either late September or early October. In 1998, the middle race was dropped, leaving just one spring race and one fall race. For 2004, the fall race was dropped, before the track was dropped altogether for the 2005 season. Connor Charles Mosack (born January 20, 1999) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He competes part-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, driving the No. 24 Toyota Supra for Sam Hunt Racing and the No. 19 Supra for Joe Gibbs Racing and part-time in the ARCA Menards Series, driving the No. 18 Toyota Camry for JGR.
