2024 Minnesota Vikings Season
The 2024 season is the Minnesota Vikings' 64th in the National Football League (NFL), their ninth playing their home games at U.S. Bank Stadium, their 20th under the ownership of Zygi Wilf and their third under the head coach/general manager tandem of Kevin O'Connell and Kwesi Adofo-Mensah. The Vikings are looking to improve on their 7–10 record from 2023 and return to the playoffs after a one-year absence. The Vikings started the season 5–0 for the first time since 2016 following a Week 5 victory against the New York Jets in London. NFC North
The National Football Conference – Northern Division or NFC North is one of the four Division (sport), divisions of the National Football Conference (NFC) in the National Football League (NFL). Nicknamed the "Black and Blue Division" for the rough and tough rivalry games between the teams, it currently has four members: the Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, and Minnesota Vikings. The NFC North was previously known as the NFC Central from 1970 to 2001. Dean Vincent Lowry (born June 9, 1994) is an American football defensive end for the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League (NFL). He played high school football at Boylan Central Catholic High School in Rockford, Illinois before attending Northwestern and playing for their football team on a scholarship. At Northwestern, he was a four-year starter at defensive end. After his senior year of college, he was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. Early years Lowry was born to Margaret and John Lowry and attended Boylan Central Catholic High School in Rockford, Illinois. Khyiris Tonga (born July 7, 1996) is an American football nose tackle for the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at BYU and was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the seventh round of the 2021 NFL Draft. College career Initially committed to Utah after high school, Tonga flipped to BYU after former Oregon State defensive coordinator Kalani Sitake was named the Cougars' head coach while Tonga was serving his two-year mission. Austin Schlottmann (born September 18, 1995) is an American football center for the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at TCU. Early years Schlottmann was born and raised in Brenham, Texas, where he became a football star at Brenham High School, earning All-State honors in 2013 while helping lead the Cubs to the Class 4A Championship game at AT&T Stadium. 2024 Houston Texans Season
The 2024 season was the Houston Texans' 23rd in the National Football League (NFL) and the second under head coach DeMeco Ryans. Danielle Hunter ( ; born October 29, 1994) is a Jamaican-born American football outside linebacker for the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at LSU. He was drafted in the third round, 88th overall in the 2015 NFL Draft. Early years Born in St. Catherine, Jamaica, Hunter moved to the United States when he was 8 years old. Jordan Hicks (born June 27, 1992) is an American professional football linebacker for the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League (NFL).
