2023 Stuttgart Surge Season
The 2023 Stuttgart Surge season is the third season of Stuttgart Surge in the European League of Football. It is the first season with a new head coach after a winless season prior. Preseason To the end of the regular season in 2022, the team and coaching staff of the franchise were in turmoil after finishing the first two seasons with 2 - 20. The front office in contrast were kept stabile with two additions to it of former coaches of the organization. Following changes in staff and personnel concerned transactions from the German League Champion Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns to the franchise. Almost the complete staff around Jordan Neumann changed the league, following the demise of the German Football League and its problematic structures. Jordan Neuman
Jordan Neuman (born August 23, 1983) is a former American football player and current coach. Career Neuman played American football as a student at Western Hills High School in his hometown of Fort Worth. From 2001 to 2004, he was quarterback of the McMurry University (third NCAA division) team in the U.S. state of Texas. In 2005, he moved to Germany and played for the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns. At the same time, he was involved in the club's youth activities and was also the player-coach of the Schwäbisch Hall Renegades baseball team. After the 2008 season, he ended his competitive sports career in Schwäbisch Hall and shifted completely to his coaching duties. In 2009 and 2010, Neuman coordinated the offensive play of the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns as a member of the coaching staff, and from 2011 to 2013 he served in the same capacity for the Vienna Vikings. 2022 Stuttgart Surge Season
The 2022 Stuttgart Surge season is the second season of Stuttgart Surge in the European League of Football. Preseason On October 22, 2021 the organisation extended the contract with head coach Martin Hanselmann. After further preparation and signings of coaches, the Surge held their open tryout on November 28, 2021 and signed the first player for the 2022 season in December 12, 2021 with former Frankfurt Galaxy Benjamin "Benji" Barnes. The Stuttgart Surge are an American football team based in Stuttgart, Germany. They play in the European League of Football (ELF) as part of the league's South division. The team plays its home games at the Gazi Stadium which is currently the oldest sports stadium in Germany still in use. Franchise history The Stuttgart franchise is one of the eight founding members of the European League of Football (ELF), established in 2020. Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns
The Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns are an American football team from Schwäbisch Hall, Germany. The club's greatest successes were winning the southern division title in the German Football League in 2009 and in every season played since 2011 (as of 2021), and participated in every German Bowl held between 2011 and 2022 – except for 2013 and the 2020 season which was cancelled due to Covid-19, winning the title five times: in 2011, 2012, 2017, 2018 and in 2022. The Leipzig Kings are an American football team in Leipzig, Germany, that plays in the European League of Football (ELF).
