2023 Sioux Chief Fast Track 150
The 2023 Sioux Chief Fast Track 150 was the 17th stock car race of the 2023 ARCA Menards Series season, and the 23rd iteration of the event. The race was held on Friday, September 8, 2023, in Kansas City, Kansas at Kansas Speedway, a 1.5 miles (2.4 km) permanent quad-oval shaped racetrack. The race took the scheduled 100 laps to complete. In a wild race that saw only two drivers finish on the lead lap, Connor Mosack, driving for Joe Gibbs Racing, would dominate the final portion of the race, and earned his first career ARCA Menards Series win. Mosack would lead a race-high 64 laps in dominating fashion. To fill out the podium, Carson Kvapil, driving for Pinnacle Racing Group, and Toni Breidinger, driving for Venturini Motorsports, would finish 2nd and 3rd, respectively. Connor Charles Mosack (born January 20, 1999) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He competes part-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, driving the No. 24 Toyota Supra for Sam Hunt Racing and the No. 19 Supra for Joe Gibbs Racing and part-time in the ARCA Menards Series, driving the No. 18 Toyota Camry for JGR. Tri-oval
A tri-oval is a shape which derives its name from the two other shapes it most resembles, a triangle and an oval. Rather than meeting at sharp, definable angles as the sides of a triangle do, in a tri-oval these angles are instead rounded into smooth curves. While an oval has four turns, a tri-oval has six. Tim Monroe (born February 3, 2000) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He competes part-time in the ARCA Menards Series, driving the No. 10 Ford Fusion for Fast Track Racing. Lavar Scott (born September 6, 2003) is an American professional stock car racing driver who competes full-time in the ARCA Menards Series, driving the No. 6 Chevrolet SS for Rev Racing. He is also a current member of NASCAR’s Drive for Diversity program. Racing career Early career Scott started racing at age five in quarter midget racing cars at Airport Speedway in New Castle, Delaware (near his hometown of Carneys Point Township) alongside his older brother.
