Tim Monroe (born February 3, 2000) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He competes part-time in the ARCA Menards Series, driving the No. 10 Ford Fusion for Fast Track Racing. Racing career ARCA Menards Series Monroe made his ARCA Menards Series debut in 2020 at the Daytona International Speedway Road Course. He DNF'ed due to electrical issues, finishing 20th. He ran 2 other races at Lebanon I-44 Speedway, where he would finish fourteenth due to brake issues, and Illinois State Fairgrounds Racetrack, where he would finish twelfth due to transmission issues. 2023 General Tire 150 (Phoenix)
The 2023 General Tire 150 was the second stock car race of the 2023 ARCA Menards Series season, the first race of the 2023 ARCA Menards Series West season, and the 4th iteration of the event. The race was held on Friday, March 10, 2023, in Avondale, Arizona at Phoenix Raceway, a 1-mile (1.6 km) permanent tri-oval shaped asphalt speedway. The race was increased from 150 laps to 160 laps, due to a NASCAR overtime finish. In a wreck-filled race, Tyler Reif, driving for Lowden Jackson Motorsports, scored the upset win after passing Landen Lewis for the lead on the final lap. Start-and-park
Start and park is a term used in auto racing, particularly in NASCAR-sanctioned races, to describe the practice of racing teams starting races but pulling the car off the track after just a few laps in order to collect prize money while avoiding expenses such as replacement tires, engine wear and tear, and hiring a pit crew. The practice has existed due to the relatively high purse for even a back-of-the-pack finish, as well as the high costs of fielding a car for an entire race. While start-and-park entries occasionally act as "field fillers" (a term typically used outside of NASCAR when a small number of teams show up to a racetrack), the practice is criticized in instances when they take spots away from teams intending to run the full race. In some cases, a team will use a start-and-park car to help fund another competitive car in the same or a different series. Lebanon I-44 Speedway is a multi-purpose speedway located in Ozark hills just off Interstate 44 outside Lebanon, Missouri, United States. The main 3/8 mile oval has been holding races since 1982.
