2023 Hammarby Fotboll Season
The 2023 season was Hammarby Fotboll's 108th in existence, their 54th season in Allsvenskan and their 9th consecutive season in the league. They competed in Allsvenskan and Svenska Cupen and the UEFA Europa Conference League. League play started in April and ended in November. Martí Cifuentes made his second season as head coach, before leaving with two fixtures left of the season. Summary Ahead of the 2023 season, Hammarby sold several key players from the previous season, such as Gustav Ludwigson, Mohanad Jeahze and Darijan Bojanić. Forward Veton Berisha that had been signed during the summer of 2022, for a record breaking free, also left the club after just six months by returning to Norway. On 17 May 2023, sporting director Jesper Jansson decided to step down and leave the club after six years. Hammarby IF Fotbollförening, more commonly known as Hammarby Fotboll or Hammarby ( or, especially locally, ), is a Swedish football club from Stockholm founded in 1915. The club is based at Tele2 Arena in Johanneshov but founded in the neighbouring Södermalm district of Stockholm City Centre, an area the club considers its heartland. Darijan Bojanić
Darijan Bojanić (; born 28 December 1994) is a Swedish professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder for K League 1 club Ulsan Hyundai. Early life His parents fled from Bosnia and Herzegovina during the Yugoslav Wars while his mother was pregnant with him. Bojanić was born in Växjö, Sweden, and grew up in Gislaved. His mother is of Bosniak descent, while his father is ethnically Croat. Bojanić is fluent in the Bosnian language. Marc Llinares Barragán (born 26 August 1999) is a Spanish footballer who plays as a left-back for Hammarby IF in the Swedish Allsvenskan. Early life Llinares was born in Barcelona, Catalonia, and started to play youth football with local club RCD Espanyol, where he spent seven years. He later moved on to represent both Villarreal CF and CF Damm at youth level. Oliver Lukas Dozae Nnonyelu Dovin (born 11 July 2002) is a Swedish professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Hammarby IF in Allsvenskan. Early life Dovin was born in London, United Kingdom, to a British Nigerian father and a Swedish mother. He moved to Stockholm, Sweden, together with his family at age one. Karl-Gunnar Björklund
Karl-Gunnar "Kalle" Björklund (born 2 December 1953) is a Swedish former football player and coach. He has served as coach in several clubs in Scandinavia. As a player, Björklund earned 14 caps for Sweden, and the midfielder won Allsvenskan with Östers IF three times. He is the father of Joachim Björklund. Player career Born in Växjö, Björklund started playing football in the local club Växjö Norra IF, before he moved to Östers IF as a youth-player. Richard Göran Emil Magyar (; born 3 May 1991) is a Swedish former professional footballer who played as a centre-back. In a 12-year career, he represented and captained both Halmstads BK and Hammarby IF in Allsvenskan, also spending time abroad with FC Aarau and Greuther Fürth. Jesper Jansson
Jesper Urban Jansson (born 8 January 1971) is a Swedish former professional footballer who played as a defender or midfielder. He currently serves as the director of football at Hammarby IF. As a player, he represented Östers IF, AIK, Djurgårdens IF, Stabæk, KRC Genk, Helsingborgs IF, and Högabergs BK during a club career that spanned between 1988 and 2007.
