2022–23 Super 6
The 2022–23 Super 6 (also known as the ''Fosroc Super 6 (rugby union), Super 6'' for sponsorship reasons) is the third season of a semi-professional rugby union competition for Scotland's club sides. The season tournament for 2020–21 did not take place due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The six teams competing in this season's Super 6 (rugby union), Super 6 are Ayr RFC, Ayrshire Bulls, Boroughmuir RFC, Boroughmuir Bears, Heriot's Rugby Club, Heriot's Rugby, Stirling County RFC, Stirling Wolves, Watsonian FC, Watsonians and Melrose RFC, Southern Knights. Competition format Super 6 consists of 3 different competitions involving the same six teams. Watsonian Football Club is a rugby union club based in Edinburgh and part of the Scottish Rugby Union. The club is connected with George Watson's College as a club for former pupils, and changed its policy in the 1980s to be a fully open club, welcoming players of all abilities regardless of whether they attended the school or not. It is one of a small number of rugby union clubs entitled to call itself a 'football club', rather than a 'rugby football club'. The Greenyards
The Greenyards is a sports ground in Melrose, Scottish Borders. It has been the home of Melrose RFC for rugby union matches and the annual Melrose Sevens tournament. The first ever rugby 7s matches were played at the ground in 1883. The professional side Southern Knights use it for home matches in the Super 6 competition. In 2019 the grass pitches were replaced with an artificial surface, with floodlights around the ground. The ground has a capacity of 15,000. History The press box dates from the 1930s. The main stand on the east side of the playing area has 1174 seats. More than 10,000 people were expected at the 2012 Melrose Sevens tournament. Ayr Rugby Football Club is a rugby union club. Its professional men's side currently plays as Ayrshire Bulls in the Super 6 competition; and its women's side play in the . The club also runs a "Club XV" which competes in the Tennent's National League 1, a 2nd XV "Ayr-Millbrae", which plays in the SRU West Reserve League Division 1, and various age group teams, from age 4, up to age 18. Meggetland Sports Complex
Meggetland is a multi-purpose sports pavilion in Edinburgh, Scotland. The complex consists of multiple astroturf and grass pitch (sports field), pitches for association football, football, rugby football, rugby, field hockey, hockey, and cricket, regularly hosting these sports. The Goldenacre Sports Ground is located in the Goldenacre area of Edinburgh, Scotland. It is owned by the George Heriot's School. Liam McNamara (born 9 February 1997 in Australia) is an international rugby union player. His playing position is wing or full back. Rugby union career Amateur career McNamara began his career playing for Sunnybank Rugby, and returned to playing there after injury. Professional career He played for Queensland Country in the 2016–17 season. He also played for Brisbane City in the 2019–20 season. He was named in the Queensland Reds squad for week 15 in 2019.
