2021 Inter-Provincial Trophy
The 2021 Inter-Provincial Trophy was the ninth edition of the Inter-Provincial Trophy, a Twenty20 cricket competition that was played in Ireland in 2021. It was the fifth edition of the competition to be played with full Twenty20 status. The tournament was played as a series of three-day festivals between four teams. On 25 March 2021, Cricket Ireland confirmed the fixtures for the tournament. On 9 April 2021, Cricket Ireland announced the revised fixtures for the tournament, with number of matches increased from 12 to 18. Leinster Lightning were the defending champions. After the first round of matches, North West Warriors were leading the competition with two wins from their three games. Roland Black (born 22 July 1971) is a Northern Irish cricket umpire. He has been an umpire since 2006. He was added to ICC Associate and Affiliate Umpires Panel in 2016. On 14 July 2016 he stood in his first One Day International (ODI) match, between Ireland and Afghanistan. Alan James Neill (born 10 June 1956) is a Northern Irish cricket umpire. Neill serves as a member of the ICC Associate and Affiliate Panel of Umpires representing Ireland. Andrew Balbirnie (born 28 December 1990) is an Irish cricketer, the current captain of the Ireland cricket team in all formats. Balbirnie is a right-handed batsman and an occasional wicket-keeper. Joshua Brian Little (born 1 November 1999) is an Irish cricketer. He made his international debut for the Ireland cricket team in September 2016. Luke Ian Georgeson (born 14 April 1999) is a New Zealand cricketer. Georgeson holds an Irish passport, and became eligible to represent the Ireland cricket team in early 2022.
