Stephen Doheny
Stephen Thomas Doheny (born 20 August 1998) is an Irish cricketer. He made his Twenty20 debut for Leinster Lightning in the 2017 Inter-Provincial Trophy on 11 August 2017. Prior to his T20 debut, he was part of Ireland's squad for the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. Domestic career He made his List A cricket, List A debut for Leinster Lightning in the 2018 Inter-Provincial Cup on 19 June 2018. He made his first-class debut for Leinster Lightning in the 2018 Inter-Provincial Championship on 20 June 2018. He was the leading run-scorer for Munster Reds in the 2018 Inter-Provincial Trophy tournament, with 193 runs in six matches. Off spin is a type of spin bowling in cricket. A bowler who uses this technique is called an off spinner. Off spinners bowl with their right-arm and a finger spin action. Their normal delivery is called an off break, which spins from left to right (from the bowler's perspective) when the ball bounces on the pitch. For a right-handed batsman, the ball breaks towards them from the off side, hence the name 'off break'. Off spinners bowl mostly off breaks, varying them by adjusting the line and length of the deliveries. Off spinners also bowl other types of delivery, which spin differently. The South Africa cricket team toured Ireland in July 2021 to play three One Day International (ODI) and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. The ODI series formed part of the inaugural 2020–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League. Cricket Ireland confirmed the fixtures in February 2021. Originally, the first and the third T20I matches were scheduled take place on 20 and 25 July respectively. However, in June 2021, Cricket Ireland made a minor change to the tour itinerary by moving both of those matches forward by one day.
