2021 Indiana Fever Season
The 2021 Indiana Fever season was the franchise's 22nd season in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). The regular season tipped off on May 14, 2021 at the New York Liberty. The Fever started the season by losing four games before winning their first game on May 23. The team then went on a twelve game losing streak, which included going 0–8 during the month of June. However, before the Olympic break, the Fever won three straight games, to end the first portion of the season with a 4–16 record. They lost the first two games in August coming out of the Olympic break, but won two of the next three. The Fever could not maintain that momentum in the final month of the season, finishing 0–7 in September. Their final record of 6–26 matched their win total from last year's shortened season. WNBA Eastern Conference
The Eastern Conference of the Women's National Basketball Association is made up of six teams. From the league's second season in 1998 through 2015, the WNBA operated separate playoff brackets for its Eastern and Western Conferences. Each conference's playoff was divided into two playoff rounds, the Conference Semi-Finals and the Conference Finals, with the Conference Finals winners receiving Conference Championships and advancing to the WNBA Finals to determine the WNBA champion. In the final years of this playoff scheme, all in-conference playoff series were best-of-three. Since 2016, the league has abandoned separate conference playoffs in favor of a single league-wide playoff bracket. Unique Thompson (born July 27, 1999) is an American professional basketball player who is a free agent in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). She was chosen in the second round of the 2021 WNBA draft by the Indiana Fever of the Women's National Basketball Association. Thompson grew up in Theodore, Alabama, where she attended Faith Academy. She was the #74 overall recruit in her draft class and the #16 forward. Thompson played college basketball at Auburn University. Lindsay Allen (born March 20, 1995 in Clinton, Maryland) is an American professional basketball player for the Minnesota Lynx of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). The Georgia Lady Bulldogs basketball team represents the University of Georgia in basketball. The Lady Bulldogs are a member of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). The UT Martin Skyhawks women's basketball team is the team that represents the University of Tennessee at Martin in Martin, Tennessee, United States.
