The 2019 All-Ireland Post Primary Schools Croke Cup was the 68th staging of the Croke Cup since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1944. The competition ran from 2 March to 30 March 2019. St Kieran's College were the defending champions. Robbie Cotter
Robbie Cotter (born 2001) is an Irish hurler and Gaelic footballer. At club level he plays with Blackrock and St Michael's and at inter-county level with the Cork senior hurling team. Career Cotter first played hurling at juvenile and underage levels with the Blackrock club. He later played as a schoolboy with Christian Brothers College in the Harty Cup before attending University College Cork (UCC). Cotter was part of the UCC team that won the Canon O'Brien Cup in 2024. After progressing from the underage grades, Cotter first played at adult club level with the Blackrock intermediate team in 2019. He won a Cork IHC medal that year before later being promoted to the club's senior team. Cotter was part of the Blackrock team that beat Glen Rovers to win the Cork PSHC title in 2020. Shane Barrett (born 2001) is an Irish hurler who plays as a right corner-forward for club side Blarney and at inter-county level with the Cork senior hurling team. Career Blarney Barrett joined the Blarney club at a young age and played in all grades at juvenile and underage levels. On 21 April 2019, he made his championship debut and scored five points from play in a 0-24 to 2-12 defeat of Ballinhassig. Eoin Cody (born 12 September 2000) is a hurler who plays for Kilkenny Senior Championship club Ballyhale Shamrocks and at inter-county level with the Kilkenny senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a centre-forward. Playing career St. Kieran's College Cody first came to hurling prominence as a student at St. Kieran's College in Kilkenny. After lining out in different grades throughout the years, he eventually joined the college's senior team. Waterford IT GAA is the GAA club of the Waterford Institute of Technology, established in 1981. Its hurling team play in the Fitzgibbon Cup and Waterford Crystal Cup as well as Higher Education Leagues. Midleton CBS Secondary School is a Catholic secondary school for boys, located in Midleton, County Cork, Ireland. Midleton CBS was founded by the Congregation of Christian Brothers in 1867. History The Christian Brothers arrived in Midleton in 1867 at the request of the parish priest who recognized the need of a dedicated school to educate the town's Roman Catholic male youth, at a time when the Church of Ireland's Midleton College was fast expanding. The local community provided donations for the cost of the construction, and the school opened on 3 April 1867, with over 300 pupils joining in its first week. The Dr Harty Cup, officially known as the Munster Colleges Senior A Hurling Championship, is an annual inter-schools hurling competition organised by the Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-schools hurling competition in the province of Munster, and has been contested every year, except on two occasions, since 1918.
