2018 ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament
The 2018 ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament (or Rotterdam Open) was a men's tennis tournament played on indoor hard courts. It took place at the Rotterdam Ahoy arena in the Dutch city of Rotterdam, between 12 and 18 February 2018. It was the 45th edition of the tournament, and part of the ATP World Tour 500 series of the 2018 ATP World Tour. The tournament also includes a Men's Wheelchair Tennis Singles and Doubles draw. The wheelchair tennis event was an ITF-1 level tournament, with a total of $32,000 prize money. ATP World Tour 500 Series
The ATP 500 tournaments (previously known as the ''ATP World Tour 500'' tournaments, ''ATP International Series Gold'', and ''ATP Championship Series'') are the fourth highest tier of annual men's tennis tournament after the four Grand Slam (tennis), Grand Slam/major tournaments, ATP Finals, and the ATP Masters 1000 tournaments, ATP 1000 events. As of 2025 ATP Tour, 2025, the series includes 16 tournaments, with 500 ranking points awarded for the events' singles champions – which accounts for the name of the series. Tournaments have various draws of 32 and 48 for singles and 16 and 24 for doubles. It is mandatory for leading players to enter at least four 500 events, including at least one after the US Open; if they play fewer than four, or fail to play in one after the US Open they get a "zero" score towards their world ranking for each one short. David Goffin
David Goffin (; born 7 December 1990) is a Belgian professional tennis player. He reached a career-high singles ATP rankings, ranking of world No. 7, making him the highest ranked male player from Belgium in tennis history. Martin Kližan
Martin Kližan (; born 11 July 1989) is a Slovak professional tennis player. He has a career-high singles ATP rankings, ranking of world No. 24, achieved on 27 April 2015, and No. 73 in doubles, achieved on 4 May 2015. Ruben Bemelmans (; born 14 January 1988) is a Belgians, Belgian coach and former professional tennis player. Gilles Müller (; born 9 May 1983) is a Luxembourgish former professional tennis player. He is a two-time major singles quarterfinalist, making him by far the most successful male tennis player in Luxembourgish history.
