2017 PowerShares QQQ 300
The 2017 PowerShares QQQ 300 was the 1st race of the 2017 NASCAR Xfinity Series season and the 36th iteration of the event. The race was held on Saturday, February 25, 2017 in Daytona Beach, Florida at Daytona International Speedway, a 2.5 miles (4.0 km) permanent triangular-shaped superspeedway. The race was extended from the scheduled 120 laps to 124 laps due to NASCAR overtime. Roush Fenway Racing driver Ryan Reed took the lead on the final overtime restart and led the final two laps to earn the victory. It was Reed's first win of the season, and the second of his career. To fill out the podium, Kasey Kahne finished 2nd and Austin Dillon finished 3rd. 2017 NASCAR Xfinity Series
The 2017 NASCAR Xfinity Series was the 36th season of the Xfinity Series, a stock car racing series sanctioned by the NASCAR in the United States. The season began with the PowerShares QQQ 300 at Daytona International Speedway and ended with the Ford EcoBoost 300 at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Daniel Suárez was the defending drivers' champion while Toyota was the defending manufacturer's champion, although Suárez couldn't defend his title due to him racing in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. During the season, races were broadcast by Fox Sports and NBC Sports for the third consecutive year. William Byron of JR Motorsports won the driver's championship with a third-place finish in the season finale. Austin Reed Dillon (born April 27, 1990) is an American professional stock car racing driver and reality TV show actor. He currently competes full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, driving the No. 3 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for Richard Childress Racing. He is the grandson of RCR team owner Richard Childress, the older brother of Ty Dillon who also competes full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, and the son of Mike Dillon, a former racing driver who currently works as RCR's general manager. Cole Matthew Custer (born January 23, 1998) is an American professional stock car racing driver.
