The 2013–14 Campeonato Nacional season was the 83rd season of top-flight football in Chile. Unión Española was the defending champion. Format changes For the 2013–14 season, the Asociación Nacional de Fútbol Profesional, ANFP's Council of Club Presidents approved the return to the Apertura and Clausura format, without playoffs. Teams Eighteen teams will be competing in the Primera División for the 2013–14 season, sixteen of whom are returning from the 2013 Chilean Primera División season, 2013 season. Chilean Primera División
The Chilean Primera División () is a professional association football league in Chile and the highest level of the Chilean football league system. Founded in 1933, it is organized by the Asociación Nacional de Fútbol Profesional (ANFP). The league is officially known as the Liga de Primera Itaú due to sponsorship by Brazilian bank Itaú Unibanco, Itaú. Throughout its history, the Chilean Primera División has had different formats, structures and number of participants. The 2025 Chilean Primera División, 2025 season is being contested through a single tournament throughout the calendar year. Club Unión Española S.A.D.P. is a professional football club based in the Independencia neighborhood, commune of Santiago, Chile currently participating in the Primera División de Chile. Estadio Municipal "Zorros del Desierto" de Calama ( ) is a football stadium in Calama, Chile owned by the Municipality of Calama, it is the home field of the Cobreloa football team and sometimes used by Chile national football team to serve as home ground. Calama, Chile
Calama is a city and commune in the Atacama Desert in northern Chile. It is the capital of El Loa Province, part of the Antofagasta Region. Calama is one of the driest cities in the world with average annual precipitation of just . The River Loa, Chile's longest, flows through the city. Calama has a population of 147,886 (2012 census). Estadio Bicentenario Municipal de La Florida is a multi-purpose stadium, located in La Florida, in eastern Santiago, Chile. It is the home stadium of Chilean football team Audax Italiano.
