2011 Canadian Tour
The 2011 Canadian Tour season ran from March to November and consisted of 12 tournaments. It was the 42nd season of the Canadian Professional Golf Tour. The season started with three events in Latin America (March to May), followed by eight events in Canada (June to August), and ending with one event in the United States (November). José De Jesús Rodríguez
José de Jesús Rodríguez Martínez (born 22 January 1981) is a Mexican professional golfer who currently plays on the Korn Ferry Tour. Rodríguez has previously played on the PGA Tour, PGA Tour Canada, PGA Tour Latinoamérica, and the Tour de las Américas. Background Rodríguez grew up in poverty in Irapuato, Mexico. He was one of seven siblings who slept shoulder-to-shoulder on the dirt floor of their one-room, bathroom-less adobe home. At the age of 12, he dropped out of school and began caddying full-time at Club de Golf Santa Margarita. That club is where he learned to golf. At the age of 15, Rodríguez crossed into the United States illegally by crossing the Rio Grande river. Roger Sloan
Roger Brandon Sloan (born May 15, 1987) is a Canadian professional golfer. Sloan was born in Calgary, Alberta and grew up in Merritt, British Columbia. He played college golf at the University of Texas at El Paso. After graduating from college with a degree in finance, Sloan turned professional and played on the Canadian Tour, winning once in 2011. He played on the Web.com Tour in 2013 and 2014 and won his first title in July 2014 at the Nova Scotia Open. He finished 24th on the regular-season money list to earn his PGA Tour card for the 2014–15 season. Sloan recorded his best finish on the PGA Tour at the 2021 Wyndham Championship. Canadian Tour Championship
The Tour Championship of Canada is an annual golf tournament played on PGA Tour Canada, commonly known as the Canadian Tour. It is the last tournament played in the season, and in 2022 had a purse of C$225,000. The tournament was founded in 2002 as the Bay Mills Open, hosted at the Bay Mills Resort in Brimley, Michigan, United States, and became designated as the Canadian Tour's "Players Championship" the following year. In 2006, the tournament moved to Ontario, Canada as the new Canadian Tour Championship. It has since remained in Ontario, and adopted different names under various title sponsors. In 2015, it was an event reserved for those in the top 60 on the PGA Tour Canada money list. All players in this tournament retain PGA Tour Canada status. It is also a final chance to finish in the top five on the Order of Merit to earn Korn Ferry Tour cards or at least improve their position for qualifying school. Tom Hoge (; born May 25, 1989) is an American professional golfer. Amateur career Hoge was born in Statesville, North Carolina and grew up and still resides in Fargo, North Dakota. He played college golf at Texas Christian University where he won two events. He placed tied for third in the individual portion of the 2009 NCAA Golf Championship. The Saskatchewan Open was a golf tournament on PGA Tour Canada that was held in Saskatchewan, Canada. Founded in 1919, the Saskatchewan Open was held annually until 1981, only missing from the calendar in 1924 when the Western Canada tournament was held in Saskatchewan and for four years during the Second World War.
