The 2010 Christy Ring Cup was the sixth edition of the Christy Ring Cup since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 2005 Christy Ring Cup, 2005 as the second-tier of hurling for senior county teams, with the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship (SHC) as the first-tier of the system. It was contested by eight county teams. Carlow county hurling team, Carlow were the reigning champions; however, they did not get the chance to defend their title due to their promotion to the All-Ireland SHC. 1891 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship
The 1891 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship was the fifth staging of the All-Ireland hurling championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1887. The championship began on 20 September 1891 and ended on 28 February 1892. Cork were the defending champions, however, they were defeated in the provincial series. Kerry won the All-Ireland following a 2–3 to 1–5 defeat of Wexford in the final. Teams A total of seven teams contested the championship. The All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship of 1997 (known for sponsorship reasons as the Guinness Hurling Championship 1997) was the 111th staging of Ireland's premier hurling competition. Clare GAA, Clare won the championship, beating Tipperary GAA, Tipperary 0-20 to 2-13 in the 1997 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Final, final at Croke Park, Dublin.
