Kildare County Hurling Team
The Kildare county hurling team represents Kildare in hurling and is governed by Kildare GAA, the county board of the Gaelic Athletic Association. The team competes in the Joe McDonagh Cup and the National Hurling League. Kildare's home ground is St Conleth's Park, Newbridge. The team's manager is Brian Dowling. The team has never won the Leinster Senior Championship, the All-Ireland Senior Championship or the National League. Christy Ring Cup
The Christy Ring Cup () is an annual hurling competition organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association. The cup forms the third-tier of Hurling for senior county teams (the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship is the first-tier trophy). It is contested by the six county teams ranked 18–23 in the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship. Each year, the champions of the Christy Ring Cup are promoted to the Joe McDonagh Cup, and the lowest finishing team is relegated to the Nicky Rackard Cup. Andy Comerford
Andrew James Comerford (born 10 October 1972) is an Irish retired List of hurling managers, hurling manager and former hurling, player who played for Kilkenny Senior Hurling Championship, Kilkenny Senior Championship club O'Loughlin Gaels GAA, O'Loughlin Gaels. In Gaelic games, a manager or (in Irish) ''bainisteoir'' is involved in the direction and instruction of the on-field operations of a team. Jack Sheridan (hurler)
Jack Sheridan (born 1997) is an Irish hurler. At club level, he plays with Naas and at inter-county level with the Kildare senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a forward. Career Sheridan first played hurling at juvenile and underage levels with the Naas club, while also playing at all levels with Piper's Hill College. He had a very successful underage career, winning three successive Kildare MAHC titles, as well as three successive Kildare U21AHC titles between 2013 and 2018. After progressing to the club's senior team, Sheridan was part of the Naas team that won five consecutive Kildare SHC titles between 2019 and 2023. David Herity
David Herity (born 12 April 1983) is an Irish hurling manager and former dual player of hurling and Gaelic football. Herity played for Kilkenny Championship club Dunnamaggin and was a member of the Kilkenny senior hurling team for eight seasons, during which time he lined out as a goalkeeper. He began his hurling career at club level with Dunnamaggin. He broke onto the club's top adult team as a 17-year-old in 2000, having his greatest success that year when the club won the Kilkenny Intermediate Championship title. The 2020 Christy Ring Cup was the 16th staging of the Christy Ring Cup hurling championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 2005. 2018 Christy Ring Cup
The 2018 Christy Ring Cup was the 14th staging of the Christy Ring Cup hurling championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 2005. It is the third tier of senior inter-county hurling. The competition began on 12 May 2018 and ended on 23 June 2018. Carlow GAA, Carlow were the 2017 Christy Ring Cup, 2017 champions, beating Antrim GAA, Antrim in the final. Both teams were included in the counties competing in the newly created Joe McDonagh Cup. Roscommon GAA, Roscommon lost their play-off match against Mayo in 2017 – normally Roscommon would have been relegated but they remained in the 2018 Christy Ring Cup as a result of the restructuring of the hurling championship tiers.
