2006–07 KML Season
The 2006–07 SEB Korvpalli Meistriliiga was the 16th season of the Estonian basketball league and the third under the title sponsorship of SEB. Including the competition's previous incarnations, this was the 82nd season of the Estonian men's basketball league. Tallinna Kalev/Cramo came into the season as defending champions of the 2005–06 KML season. The season started on 4 October 2006 and concluded on 29 May 2007 with TÜ/Rock defeating Tallinna Kalev/Cramo 4 games to 2 in the 2007 KML Finals to win their 23rd Estonian League title. The 2005–06 SEB Korvpalli Meistriliiga was the 15th season of the Estonian basketball league and the second under the title sponsorship of SEB Pank, SEB. Including the competition's previous incarnations, this was the 81st season of the Estonian men's basketball league. The season started on 5 October 2005 and concluded on 30 May 2006 with BC Kalev/Cramo, Kalev/Cramo defeating Tartu Ülikool/Rock, TÜ/Rock 4 games to 3 in the 2006 KML Finals to win their 2nd Estonian League title. BC Pärnu, also known as Pärnu Sadam (English: Port of Pärnu) for sponsorship reasons, is a professional basketball club based in Pärnu, Estonia. The team plays in the Estonian-Latvian Basketball League and the Korvpalli Meistriliiga (KML). Their home arena is the Pärnu Sports Hall. In 2022, the team won their first and only KML title. BC Valga-Valka, also known as BC Valga-Valka/Maks & Moorits for sponsorship reasons, is a basketball club representing the twin towns of Valga, Estonia and Valka, Latvia. The team plays in the Latvian–Estonian Basketball League. Their home arena is the Valga Sports Hall. From 2015 to 2018 the team uniquely competed in both Estonian and Latvian domestic top leagues. BC Tarvas is a professional basketball club based in Rakvere, Estonia. The club competes in the Estonian-Latvian Basketball League. Their home arena is the Rakvere Sports Hall. Tallinna Kalev is a basketball team based in Tallinn, Estonia. The team was founded in 2002 as Pirita Palliklubi and played in the Korvpalli Meistriliiga (KML) from 2002 to 2024. History The team was founded in 2002 as Pirita Palliklubi (Pirita Ball Club), the same year they joined the Korvpalli Meistriliiga (KML), the top tier of Estonian basketball. Korvpalli Meistriliiga
The Korvpalli Meistriliiga (KML) is the top-tier men's basketball league in Estonia. The league is organized by the Estonian Basketball Association and played under rules of basketball#International Rules of Basketball, FIBA rules. The competition was founded in 1925. From the 1998–99 season until the end of the 2001–02 season the league was organized by the Eesti Korvpalliklubide Assotsiatsioon (English: Estonian Basketball Clubs' Association). As of the 2018–19 season, Estonian-Latvian Basketball League regular season games count towards the KML standings, followed by KML Play-offs.
