BC Pärnu
BC Pärnu, also known as Pärnu Sadam (English: Port of Pärnu) for sponsorship reasons, is a professional basketball club based in Pärnu, Estonia. The team plays in the Estonian-Latvian Basketball League and the Korvpalli Meistriliiga (KML). Their home arena is the Pärnu Sports Hall. In 2022, the team won their first and only KML title. History Korvpalliklubi Pärnu (English: Basketball Club Pärnu) was founded in 2000. In 2006–07 KML season, 2006, the team joined the Korvpalli Meistriliiga (KML), the top tier of Estonian basketball. They also made their debut in the Baltic Basketball League (BBL) in 2012–13 Baltic Basketball League, 2012. On 12 July 2017, KK Pärnu announced that they will withdraw from the forthcoming KML season due to financial difficulties. Korvpalli Meistriliiga
The Korvpalli Meistriliiga (KML) is the top-tier men's basketball league in Estonia. The league is organized by the Estonian Basketball Association and played under rules of basketball#International Rules of Basketball, FIBA rules. The competition was founded in 1925. From the 1998–99 season until the end of the 2001–02 season the league was organized by the Eesti Korvpalliklubide Assotsiatsioon (English: Estonian Basketball Clubs' Association). As of the 2018–19 season, Estonian-Latvian Basketball League regular season games count towards the KML standings, followed by KML Play-offs. The most successful team in the competition is University of Tartu men's basketball team, Tartu Ülikool (University of Tartu), with 26 titles. Korvpalliklubi Viimsi (English: Basketball Club Viimsi) is a professional basketball club based in Haabneeme, Viimsi, Estonia. The team plays in the Estonian-Latvian Basketball League and the Korvpalli Meistriliiga (KML). Their home arena is the Forus Sports Center. History KK Viimsi was founded in 2002 by Tanel Einaste, Anti Kalle and Teet Tiisvelt. In 2021, the team won the Estonian second division title and joined the Estonian-Latvian Basketball League. They reached the playoffs in their first season in the league. Okko Johannes Järvi (born 12 January 1996) is a Finnish professional basketball player who plays as a shooting guard for Pärnu Sadam in the Korvpalli Meistriliiga and the Latvian-Estonian Basketball League. Professional career Järvi started his career with Tapiolan Honka in 2013. Järvi has won two Finnish Korisliiga championship titles, with Karhu Basket in 2019 and with Helsinki Seagulls in 2023. Gert Kullamäe
Gert Kullamäe (born 3 June 1971) is an Estonian basketball coach and a former professional basketball player who currently coaches the Estonian team BC Pärnu Sadam. Kullamäe mostly played at the shooting guard position and was a great 3-point shooter. As a player he is a seven-time Estonian Champion and also a Soviet Union, Lithuanian, Belgian and Dutch champion. Club career Kullamäe was born in Tallinn, Estonia, and made his senior club debut with the TPI (Tallinn University of Technology) team in the Estonian SSR Championship (today Korvpalli Meistriliiga). The 2022–23 FIBA Europe Cup was the 8th season of the FIBA Europe Cup, the second-level European professional club basketball competition organised by FIBA. Heiko Rannula (born 28 July 1983) is an Estonian professional basketball coach and former player, who is currently a head coach for Legia Warsaw of the Polish Basketball League (PLK), and for Estonian National Team. Playing career Heiko Rannula graduated from Tartu Karlova Gymnasium in 2001. He started training with Jüri Neissaare. He has played in the Estonian youth (U16) and junior (U20) teams. He has also been a member of the Estonian National team. Rannula is the Estonian youth champion in the U16 and U20 age classes.
