2006 Mexican Figure Skating Championships
The 2006 Mexican Figure Skating Championships took place between 13 and 19 November 2005 in Cuautitlán Izcalli. Skaters competed in the disciplines of men's singles and ladies' singles on the senior level. The results were used to choose the Mexican teams to the 2006 World Championships and the 2006 Four Continents Championships. Manuel Segura
Manuel Felimon Segura (January 1, 1919 – November 27, 2013) was a colonel of the Armed Forces of the Philippines with assigned serial number 0-3547 AFP. He was G-1 and adjutant general in the General Headquarters of the Cebuano guerrillas during World War II, with Col. James M. Cushing as his commanding officer. Segura wrote at least two books on the guerrilla story in Cebu. Early life and prewar service Segura was a student in the University of the Philippines, Diliman campus, when the clouds of war loomed over the Pacific in the early months of 1941. On 28 August 1941, he was called to active duty as a 3rd lieutenant, Infantry, and assigned as regimental adjutant of 82nd Infantry Regiment, 81st Infantry Division, Philippine Commonwealth Army. Humberto Contreras
Humberto Contreras (born August 21, 1983) is a Mexican figure skater. He is a four-time Mexican national champion ('02, '03, '05, '09) and competed in the final segment at six Four Continents Championships. Career Contreras began learning to skate in 1997. Early in his career, he was coached by Darin Carlton, Alexei Muratov (2001–02), Alesandro Chavez (2002–03), and Wendy Boyland (2003–04) in Mexico City. At the 2004 Four Continents Championships, he became the first Mexican skater to perform a triple Salchow triple Loop combination in competition.
