No Geneva Motor Show has been held in the 2020s so far due to the
COVID-19 pandemic The COVID-19 pandemic, also known as the coronavirus pandemic, is an ongoing global pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). The novel virus was first identi ...
, which required the cancellation of the 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023 editions of the event. The global chip shortage was also cited as a factor in the 2022 cancellation.


2020

The 90th Geneva Motor Show was planned for 5 March to 15 March 2020, but the event was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, when Switzerland imposed a limit on gatherings of over 1,000 people. It was one of the first major automotive events to be cancelled due to COVID-19. The following vehicles were to be presented at the show in 2020:
