Thiagarajan
Thiagarajan Sivanandam (born 21 June 1946) is an Indian actor, film director and film producer in Tamil cinema. Besides Tamil, he has acted in several Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu and Hindi films. He is the father of Tamil actor Prashanth, son-in-law of actor-director Peketi Sivaram and the maternal uncle of Tamil actor Vikram. Career Originally a businessman, Thiagarajan made his acting debut with '' Alaigal Oivathillai'' (1981), appearing as the elder brother of the film's lead actress Radha. The film became successful and offers poured in for him. His portrayal of a jungle bandit in '' Malaiyoor Mambattiyan'' (1982) provided him a major breakthrough in his career. He was part of such successful films as '' Komberi Mookan'' (1984) and ''Neengal Kettavai'' (1984). He acted in the Malayalam film ''New Delhi'', which became successful and his portrayal of a goon received acclaim. Prashanth
Prashanth Thiagarajan (born 6 April 1973), known professionally as Prashanth, is an Indian actor, businessman, playback singer and film producer known for his works predominantly in Tamil cinema. Besides Tamil films, he has also appeared in few Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam films. At the peak of his career in the late 1990s, Prashanth was one of the popular actors in South India. He has won a Kalaimamani Award from the Government of Tamil Nadu. The son of actor-director Thiagarajan, Prashanth began his career at age 17 with the Tamil film '' Vaigasi Poranthachu'' (1990) and went on to feature in other films including Balu Mahendra's '' Vanna Vanna Pookkal'' (1992), R. ''Shock'' is a 2004 Indian Tamil-language supernatural horror film directed and produced by Thiagarajan. The film stars his son Prashanth and Meena, while Abbas, Thiagarajan, Suhasini, Kalairani, and Sarath Babu, among others played the supporting roles. The music is composed by Salim–Sulaiman. ''Salem Vishnu'' () is a 1990 Indian Tamil-language action film written, produced and directed by Thiagarajan. The film stars Thiagarajan and Rupini. It was released on 16 February 1990. The film is a spinoff/prequel of the Malayalam film ''New Delhi'' (1987), with Thiagarajan reprising the role. ''Aanazhagan'' is a 1995 Indian Tamil-language comedy film directed by Thiagarajan and produced by S. Balaji. The film stars Prashanth, newcomer Suneha, Vadivelu, Charle, and Chinni Jayanth, while K. R. Vijaya, Gandhimathi, and Vaishnavi play supporting roles. ''New Delhi'' is a 1987 Malayalam language action thriller film written by Dennis Joseph and directed by Joshiy and produced by Joy Thomas. It stars Mammootty, Suresh Gopi, Thiagarajan, Sumalatha, Urvashi, Siddique, Vijayaraghavan, Mohan Jose, Devan, and Jagannatha Varma. The film was remade and released in Telugu as '' Anthima Theerpu'', which was directed by Joshiy himself. Joshiy also directed the Hindi and Kannada versions titled ''New Delhi''. ''Malaiyoor Mambattiyan'' () is 1983 Indian Tamil-language vigilante action film directed by Rajasekhar, starring Thiagarajan, Saritha and Silk Smitha. It was released on 1 July 1983. The film became a blockbuster and established Thiagarajan as a star. It was remade in Hindi by the same director as '' Gangvaa'' (1984) and in Telugu as ''Kondaveeti Nagulu'' (1984). In 2011, Thiagarajan remade the film starring his son Prashanth, titled as '' Mambattiyan''. ''Komberi Mookan'' () is a 1984 Indian Tamil-language action drama film directed by A. Jagannathan. The film stars Thiagarajan, Saritha and Urvashi. It was released on 15 June 1984. The film was remade in Telugu as ''Kala Rudrudu'' (1985). Plot Mookan, a young boy, lives with his parents in a village. Alavanthar is a wealthy and influential person in the village. He is also a womaniser. One night, he forcibly enters Mookan’s house and rapes his mother and with the help of his henchmen kills and burns his father. ''Alaigal Oivathillai'' () is a 1981 Indian Tamil-language teen romantic drama film written and directed by Bharathiraja, from a story by Manivannan. The film stars Karthik and Radha, in their acting debuts. Thiagarajan, Silk Smitha and Kamala Kamesh appear in supporting roles. The story follows a Hindu boy who falls in love with a Christian girl. How the lovers unite braving all the obstacles, forms the crux of the story. The story and screenplay were written by Manivannan and Bharathiraja, respectively. The cinematography was handled by B. Peketi Sivaram
Peketi Sivaram (8 October 1918 – 30 December 2006) was an Indian actor and film director. Career Peketi Sivaram acted in many Telugu, Tamil and Kannada films, receiving recognition for the character Bhagavan in '' Devadasu'' (1953). He directed a few Telugu and Kannada films including ''Chuttarikalu'' (1968), ''Bhale Abbayilu'' (1969), ''Kula Gouravam'' (1972) starring N. T. Rama Rao and Rajkumar. He received the H. M. Reddy award in 2002.
