Racing Club de Roanne XIII are a French Rugby league club based in Roanne, Loire in the Rhône-Alpes region. The club plays in the Rhône-Alpes League of the French National Division 2. History Racing Club de Roanne XIII were one of the pioneering ten clubs that ''crossed the Rubicon'' in 1934 and switched from Rugby Union to Rugby League. Under wily manager Claude Devernois, and with stars like Max Rousié, Robert Samatan and Jean Dauger, they became one of the dominant forces in the early years of the sport in France, achieving the league and cup double in 1938. They won the league on a further three occasions and the cup once before financial trouble resulted in the club losing their place in the top level of French Rugby League. Union Sportive Ferrals XIII are a French Rugby league club based in Ferrals-les-Corbières, Aude in the Languedoc-Roussillon region. The play in the National Division 1. They play their home games at the Stade de la Fontaine. History In 1977, they finished runner-up in the old 2nd Division, now called the National Division 1 losing to Saint-Cyprien in the final 15-16. The club had to wait until season 2014/15 for their next tilt at success. At the end of that season, after winning the Paul Dejean Cup and the league, they then won the league Grand final against Villeghailhenc-Aragon XIII but turned down promotion to Elite Two stating the club wasn't ready. The North Sydney Bears is an Australian rugby league football club based in North Sydney, New South Wales. The club competes in the New South Wales Cup, having exited the National Rugby League following the 1999 NRL season after 90 years in the premier rugby league competition in Australia. North Sydney is based on Sydney's Lower North Shore, and has played at North Sydney Oval since 1910. Ken Wolffe (born 13 February 1958) is an Australian former rugby league footballer who played in the 1970s and 1980s. He played most of his career at the Penrith Panthers, but he also had brief stint at the Parramatta Eels. He began his career on the , but later shifted to . Playing career Wolffe was graded by the Penrith Panthers in the 1978 season. Jean Barthe (22 July 1932 – 2 December 2017) was a French Rugby League and Rugby Union player. Playing career Rugby union Jean Barthe was born in Lourdes and started his career at FC Lourdes. With this club, he won three French Championships, in 1956, 1957 and 1958, and one Challenge Yves du Manoir. He earned his first cap with the French national team on 29 July 1954 against Argentina at Buenos Aires. He was called for the 1958 France rugby union tour of South Africa. In 1959 he left FC Lourdes for rugby league.
