Kinross, Western Australia
Kinross is a small suburb in the City of Joondalup located in the northern suburbs of Perth in Western Australia. Kinross was constructed around 1992-3 in various stages. It is bordered by Neerabup National Park to the northeast, Tamala Park, Western Australia, Tamala Park to the north, Burns Beach, Western Australia, Burns Beach to the west and Currambine, Western Australia, Currambine to the south. It is the City of Joondalup's northernmost suburb. Kinross mostly contains young families and overseas migrants, especially from the United Kingdom, Ireland and South Africa. Several parks are dotted through the suburb, most of which offer playground facilities. Perth is the capital and largest city of the Australian state of Western Australia. Connolly Drive is an arterial road in the outer northern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia. The road takes its name from the Perth suburb of Connolly, which lies just beyond the road's terminus. Route description Connolly Drive starts at Shenton Avenue in Currambine, west of Joondalup's central business district, and ends after a run at Benenden Avenue in the outer northern suburb of Butler. Connolly Drive runs parallel with fellow arterial road Marmion Avenue to the west and Mitchell Freeway to the east, where, currently, the traffic flow eases past Hester Avenue, which is currently the latter's terminus. Clarkson Railway Station, Perth
Clarkson railway station (officially Clarkson Station) is a commuter rail station in Clarkson, a suburb of Perth, Western Australia. It is on the Joondalup line, which is part of the Transperth network. Located in the median of the Mitchell Freeway, the station consists of an island platform connected to the west by a pedestrian footbridge. A six stand bus interchange and two carparks are located near the entrance. Planning for an extension of the Joondalup line north of Currambine railway station was underway by 1995. The government committed to an extension to Clarkson the following year, and a plan detailing the extension was released in 2000. Joondalup Railway Station
Joondalup railway station is a railway station on the Transperth network. It is located on the Joondalup line, 26 kilometres from Perth station serving the regional metropolitan city of Joondalup. History Joondalup station opened on 20 December 1992 as the interim terminus of the Joondalup line. The line was extended to Currambine a year later in 1993. In 2003, the contract for extending the platforms on seven Joondalup line stations, including Joondalup station, was awarded to Lakis Constructions. The platforms on these stations had to be extended by to accommodate long six car trains, which were planned to enter service. Along with the extensions, the platform edges were upgraded to bring them into line with tactile paving standards. Work on this station was done in mid-2004. Transperth is the brand name of the public transport system serving the city and suburban areas of Perth, the state capital of Western Australia. Currambine railway station (officially Currambine Station) is a commuter rail station on the border of Currambine and Joondalup, north of Perth, Western Australia. It is on the Joondalup line, which is part of the Transperth network. Located in the median of the Mitchell Freeway, the station consists of an island platform connected to the east and west by an underpass. Constructed by Doubikin Constructions Pty Ltd at a cost of $2.8 million, Currambine station opened on 8 August 1993 as the final station from the original plan for the Joondalup line. The station was originally built on the western side of the Mitchell Freeway reserve to limit the distance between the car park and platform. Mitchell Freeway
The Mitchell Freeway is a freeway in the northern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia, linking central Perth with the city of Joondalup. It is the northern section of State Route 2, which continues south as Kwinana Freeway and Forrest Highway. Along its length are interchanges with several major roads, including the Graham Farmer Freeway and Reid Highway. The southern terminus of the Mitchell Freeway is at the Narrows Bridge, which crosses the Swan River, and the northern terminus is at Hester Avenue, Clarkson, a suburb within the City of Wanneroo. Planning for the route began in the 1950s, and the first segment in central Perth was constructed between 1967 and 1973. Burns Beach Road
Burns Beach Road is an arterial east-west road in Perth, Western Australia, linking the suburbs of Burns Beach and Iluka to the Mitchell Freeway and Joondalup. It forms the entirety of State Route 87 and was the northern terminus of Mitchell Freeway and State Route 2 from 2008 to 2017, when the freeway was extended to Hester Avenue. The road begins at a large roundabout with Joondalup Drive and used to end at the old coastal village of Burns Beach. The road has been realigned where the road into the village is now named Ocean Parade and Burns Beach Road continues along the coast from Ocean Parade to Shenton Avenue in Iluka. Marmion Avenue is a arterial road in the northern coastal suburbs of Perth, Western Australia, linking Trigg in the south with Yanchep in the north. It forms part of State Route 71 along with West Coast Highway, which it joins onto at its southern terminus. Route Description Marmion Avenue is part of State Route 71, from the southern terminus to Hester Avenue, continuing on from West Coast Highway.
