Burns Beach Road is an arterial east-west road in Perth, Western Australia, linking the suburbs of Burns Beach and Iluka to the Mitchell Freeway and Joondalup. It forms the entirety of State Route 87 and was the northern terminus of Mitchell Freeway and State Route 2 from 2008 to 2017, when the freeway was extended to Hester Avenue. The road begins at a large roundabout with Joondalup Drive and used to end at the old coastal village of Burns Beach. The road has been realigned where the road into the village is now named Ocean Parade and Burns Beach Road continues along the coast from Ocean Parade to Shenton Avenue in Iluka. It formerly connected with Wanneroo Road but has been extensively realigned since. The road passes by the northern residential areas of Joondalup and forms the boundary between the suburbs of Currambine and Kinross. Hester Avenue
Hester Avenue (previously known as Quinns Road) is an east-west distributor road in the northern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia, located within the City of Wanneroo. It primarily links the coastal suburbs of the Clarkson- Butler region to the arterial highway Wanneroo Road in the east, and is the current (as of August 2017) northern terminus of the Mitchell Freeway. The road begins as a four-lane dual carriageway at Wanneroo Road, before intersecting with the Mitchell Freeway at Clarkson in the form of an elongated dogbone roundabout separated by a bridge crossing the Joondalup railway line. The road terminates at a roundabout with Marmion Avenue, where it becomes Anchorage Drive North, a local distributor road in the suburb of Mindarie. Currambine Railway Station
Currambine railway station (officially Currambine Station) is a commuter rail station on the border of Currambine and Joondalup, north of Perth, Western Australia. It is on the Joondalup line, which is part of the Transperth network. Located in the median of the Mitchell Freeway, the station consists of an island platform connected to the east and west by an underpass. Constructed by Doubikin Constructions Pty Ltd at a cost of $2.8 million, Currambine station opened on 8 August 1993 as the final station from the original plan for the Joondalup line. The station was originally built on the western side of the Mitchell Freeway reserve to limit the distance between the car park and platform. Kinross is a small suburb in the City of Joondalup located in the northern suburbs of Perth in Western Australia. Kinross was constructed around 1992-3 in various stages. It is bordered by Neerabup National Park to the northeast, Tamala Park, Western Australia, Tamala Park to the north, Burns Beach, Western Australia, Burns Beach to the west and Currambine, Western Australia, Currambine to the south.
