Joe Matt
Joe Matt (September 3, 1963 – September 18, 2023) was an American cartoonist, best known for his autobiographical work, ''Peepshow''. Early life Joe Matt was born and raised in Lansdale, Pennsylvania, a middle-class suburb of Philadelphia. He had three siblings. His mother was a housewife. His father held a variety of different jobs, including owner of a carpet store and a longtime stint working for Amtrak; in Matt's words, "he seemed to drift from job to job a lot." Matt credited his childhood lack of money with forming his later habit of cheapness. He attended Catholic school until 12th grade. Matt developed drawing skills by age five, and later said he considered himself an artist all his life. His mother encouraged him in this pursuit, having herself attended the Philadelphia College of Art before dropping out to raise her family. Lansdale is a Borough (Pennsylvania), borough in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is a densely populated commuter town, with many residents traveling daily to Philadelphia using SEPTA Regional Rail's Lansdale/Doylestown Line. Gregory Gallant
Gregory Gallant (born September 16, 1962), better known by his pen name Seth, is a Canadian cartoonist. He is best known for his series '' Palookaville'' and his mock- autobiographical graphic novel ''It's a Good Life, If You Don't Weaken'' (1996). Seth draws in a style influenced by the classic cartoonists of ''The New Yorker''. His work is highly nostalgic, especially for the early-to-mid-20th century period, and of Southern Ontario. Chester William David Brown (born 16 May 1960) is a Canadian cartoonist. Brown has gone through several stylistic and thematic periods. Robert Dennis Crumb (; born August 30, 1943) is an American artist who often signs his work R. Crumb.
