The International Association of Skateboard Companies (IASC) is a for-profit trade association that seeks to promote skateboarding as a leisure activity. Its board of directors includes representatives of a number of skateboarding companies who in turn represent a membership base of ''"skateboard manufacturers, distributors, contest organizers, ramp designers and individuals"''. Skateboarding sponsorship is the commercial sponsorship of an individual or team of people who participate in skateboarding, competitions or public activities. ''The Skateboard Mag'' was an independently published American skateboarding magazine that published over 100 issues (in 2005 its circulation was approximately 90,000) and featured professional skateboarder, Danny Way, on the cover of its inaugural issue, depicted mid-air while executing a gap to noseblunt slide on a construction known as the "Mega Ramp". Public liability is part of the law of tort which focuses on civil wrongs. Per Welinder
Per Nils Welinder (born April 17, 1962) is a Swedish entrepreneur and former professional skateboarder. During the 1980s he achieved international fame as a freestyle skater and was a leading member of the Powell-Peralta skate team known as the "Bones Brigade". He had a number of influential video parts with Powell during the 1980s, a series of signature models, and roles in several Hollywood movies. Welinder also has the unique distinction of being the only person to have ever beaten Rodney Mullen in a professional skate contest. Biography Welinder was born in Täby, just outside Stockholm.
