Groulx is a provincial electoral district in the Laurentides region of Quebec, Canada, that elects members to the National Assembly of Quebec. It notably includes the city of Boisbriand as well as a few other small cities. Linda Lapointe (born July 2, 1960) is a Canadian businesswoman and politician from Quebec. She was an Action démocratique du Québec (ADQ) Member of the National Assembly for the electoral district of Groulx from 2007 to 2008. She was elected as the federal Member of Parliament (MP) for Rivière-des-Mille-Îles in the 2015 election, as a member of the Liberal Party of Canada, and sat until the 2019 Canadian federal election when she lost her seat. Sainte-Thérèse is an off-island suburb northwest of Montreal, in southwestern Quebec, Canada, in the Thérèse-De Blainville Regional County Municipality. The town is mostly known as a home for heavy industry, but it is also a centre of recreational and tourist activities. René Gauvreau
René Gauvreau is a Canadian politician in the province of Quebec, who was elected to represent the riding of Groulx in the National Assembly of Quebec in the 2008 provincial election. He is a member of the Parti Québécois, but sat as an independent for nine months until rejoining the PQ caucus in April 2012. 2007 Quebec General Election
The 2007 Quebec general election was held in the Canadian province of Quebec on March 26, 2007 to elect members of the 38th National Assembly of Quebec. The Quebec Liberal Party led by Premier Jean Charest managed to win a plurality of seats, but were reduced to a minority government, Quebec's first in 129 years, since the 1878 general election. Pierre Descoteaux (16 February 1952 – 9 April 2018) was a Canadian lawyer and politician from Quebec. From 2003 to 2007 he was Member of Parliament in the National Assembly of Quebec, representing the provincial electoral district of Groulx as a member of the Quebec Liberal Party.
