A frequency changer or frequency converter is electronic or electromechanical equipment that converts alternating current ( AC) of one frequency to alternating current of another frequency. A compressor is a mechanical device that increases the pressure of a gas by reducing its volume. An air compressor is a specific type of gas compressor.
