2022 NHK Trophy
The 2022 NHK Trophy will be the fifth event in the 2022-23 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, a senior-level international invitational competition series. It will be held at the Makomanai Ice Arena in Sapporo on November 18-20. Medals will be awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, women's singles, pairs, and ice dance. ISU Grand Prix Of Figure Skating
The ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating (known as ISU Champions Series from 1995 to 1997) is a series of senior international figure skating competitions organized by the International Skating Union. The invitational series was inaugurated in 1995, incorporating several previously existing events. Medals are awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. The junior-level equivalent is the ISU Junior Grand Prix. Single Skating
Single skating is a discipline of figure skating in which male and female skaters compete individually. Men's singles and women's singles are governed by the International Skating Union (ISU). Figure skating is the oldest winter sport contested at the Olympics, with men's and women's single skating appearing as two of the four figure skating events at the 1908 Summer Olympics, London Games in 1908. Single skaters are required to perform two segments in all international competitions, the short program (figure skating), short program and the free skating program. Eva-Lotta Kiibus (born 17 January 2003) is an Estonian figure skater. She is the 2020 Nebelhorn Trophy champion, a two-time Estonian national champion (2020–21), and a three-time Tallink Hotels Cup champion (2018–2019, 2021). Benjamin Mimar (born 26 November 2000) is a Canadian pair skater. With his skating partner, Brooke McIntosh, he is the 2022 NHK Trophy bronze medallist and 2023 Canadian national silver medallist. Conrad Orzel (born July 11, 2000) is a Canadian figure skater and model. He is the 2019 Bavarian Open silver medalist and 2023 Canadian national silver medalist.
