The Angelic Process
The Angelic Process was an American metal band from Athens, Georgia. Formed in 1999, the band was a husband and wife duo of Kris Angylus (vocals, guitar, drums) and Monica Dragynfly (bass, backing vocals). They released three albums and were seen as figureheads of the ambient drone metal subgenre. Months after releasing their third and final album '' Weighing Souls with Sand'', the band entered an indefinite hiatus in October 2007 as Angylus suffered a serious hand injury that left him physically incapable of performing music. Angylus died from suicide in April 2008. Dragynfly also died suddenly in 2023. History Kris Angylus formed The Angelic Process in 1999. Godflesh
Godflesh are an English industrial metal band from Birmingham. The group formed in 1982 under the original title O.P.D. (later Fall of Because) but did not release any complete music until 1988 when Justin Broadrick (guitar, vocals, programming) and B. C. Green (bass, programming) renamed the band and decided to use a drum machine for percussion. Voiceprint Records was a British independent record label based in England, founded in November 1990 by Rob Ayling. They specialised in re-releasing old material, especially progressive rock, but also had new releases, under the Resurgence and Blueprint labels. ''Swans Are Dead'' is the fifth double and seventh overall live album by American experimental rock band Swans. It was released in 1998 and was recorded in 1995 and 1997 on the band's final tours, before reuniting in 2010. The setlists of this era in the Swans live show were probably the most varied in terms of chronology. Although many of the songs performed were taken from ''Soundtracks for the Blind'', the band also resurrected songs from much earlier albums, including a re-worked version of "I Crawled" from the '' Young God'' EP (1984). Jarboe Devereaux, (born January 30) known mononymously as Jarboe (), is an American singer and musician who came to prominence as a member of the New York City experimental rock band Swans in 1985. Jarboe and Michael Gira, the founder of Swans, were the two constant members of the group until it broke up in 1997.
