''Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer'' is a 2007 superhero film, and sequel to the 2005 film ''Fantastic Four''. Both films are based on the ''Fantastic Four'' comic book and were directed by Tim Story. The film stars Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans, and Michael Chiklis as the title characters, with Julian McMahon, Kerry Washington, Andre Braugher, Beau Garrett, Doug Jones and Laurence Fishburne in supporting roles. The plot follows the Fantastic Four (and Doctor Doom) as they confront, and later ally with, the Silver Surfer to save Earth from Galactus. The film was released on June 15, 2007 to generally mixed reviews and grossed over $301.9 million worldwide and was a box-office success, but earned less than its predecessor which grossed $333.5 million worldwide. ''Rise'' is the debut album by Northern Ireland rock band the Answer. It has sold in excess of 30,000 copies in the UK and Europe and 10,000 on day one in Japan. History In 1979, the song "Rise", written by Andy Armer and Alpert's nephew Randy "Badazz" Alpert but without an accompanying album, became a worldwide sensation. The 12" version was a favorite of club DJs and the 7" single, released on July 20, 1979, reached the top of the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart in October, staying there for two weeks.
