Real Deal (comics)
''Real Deal Magazine'' was an independent comic book title published in the 1990s. One of the rare contemporary African-American-created and published comics, ''Real Deal'' depicted the Los Angeles underworld life with deadpan visceral humor and gross-out violence (termed "Urban Terror" by the creators). Stories were by H.P. McElwee (aka "R.D. Bone") and art primarily by Lawrence Hubbard (aka "Raw Dawg"). Inspired by magazines like ''Mad'', traditional superhero comics, and people the creators knew in their own lives, ''Real Deal'' satirized Blaxploitation movies with a mélange of stories featuring convicts, hustlers, drug addicts, crack whores, car thieves, and murderers. In the words of artist/publisher Hubbard, a typical ''Real Deal'' story began with Hubbard cites Mort Drucker, Angelo Torres, George Woodbridge, Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko, E. Simms Campbell, and Doug Wildey as influences, while critics note the similarity of Hubbard's inking to that of Gary Panter and Raym ...

The Feeling (album)
''The Feeling'' is the fifth studio album by the British rock band The Feeling, released on 4 March 2016. The album's production was partly funded by fans via PledgeMusic, which offered pre-orders CD, vinyl, and deluxe formats of the album. Recording The album was recorded over ten days as a fully live band, abandoning standard studio availabilities such as click tracks, in order to capture the feel and spirit of a live band. The songs were all recorded one at a time in full takes. Vocalist Dan Gillespie-Sells said "This record captures a kind of energy you’d normally only get if you’ve seen us in concert. When we play live, the music is free and moving together as one whole. It can breathe a bit, and we can react to each other. But it’s hard to recreate that in the studio if you’re recording along to individual parts that were done separately the day before. We had to make sure all the microphones were in exactly the right places and that we really knew the material. Bu ...

Dickinson's Real Deal
''Dickinson's Real Deal'' was a British modern antiques and collectables television programme that was broadcast on ITV as part of the afternoon schedule. It was presented by David Dickinson. A US version of the show, produced by Zodiak USA and titled simply '' Real Deal'', was aired for one series on the History Channel. The format was the same except that the US show lacked the on-screen host for intervention on the deals. Format The shows are recorded at UK venues to which members of the public are invited to bring their antiques and collectables. Independent valuers estimate the value of these items. The items are then passed to the dealers, who make their own valuation and try to purchase them by placing a cash offer on the table. Once the initial offer is placed the sellers will often ask for a higher amount. Then, David Dickinson will often step in to give some advice and reveal the valuers estimations. David, being on the side of the seller; will then haggle with an ...
