"Only the Strong Survive" is a song written by Jerry Butler (singer), Jerry Butler, Kenny Gamble, and Leon Huff and originally sung in 1968 by Jerry Butler (singer), Jerry Butler, released on his album ''The Ice Man Cometh (album), The Ice Man Cometh''. ''Nine Lives'' is the eighth studio album by REO Speedwagon. It peaked at number #33 on the Billboard 200 chart in 1979. The album went gold on December 5, 1979. Gary Dean Richrath (October 18, 1949 – September 13, 2015) was an American guitarist, best known as the lead guitarist and a songwriter for the band REO Speedwagon from 1970 until 1989. Early life Richrath was born in Peoria, Illinois, on October 18, 1949, to Curtis and Eunice Richrath, and grew up in East Peoria, Illinois. Originally playing saxophone in the school band, he took up guitar as a teenager, becoming self-taught. He graduated from East Peoria Community High School in 1967. By 1968, Richrath was in a band called Suburban 9 to 5. It was co-produced by Marling with longtime collaborator Ethan Johns. The album's title is figurative, with Marling writing to a fictional daughter. ''Pigwalk'' is the second full-length studio album by rap metal group Stuck Mojo. This album is considered to be a milestone in the rap metal genre.
