Zurab Pochkhua
Zurab Pochkhua ( ka, ზურაბ ფოჩხუა) (born July 11, 1963) is a Georgian colonel. He was the commander of Georgian Air Force from September 15, 2008. to 2010. In 1998 Pochkhua finished short courses of air defense at Zhukov Command Academy of Air Defense in Tver, Russia. Pochkhua served as Commander of Communication Company of the First Anti-aircraft Rocket Brigade from 1993 to 1995. Then as a Chief of Staff of the First Air Defense Base from 1995 to 2002 and as a Commander of Command Control Center (C3) of the Georgian Air Force from 2002 to 2005. From 2005 and during 2008 war with Russia Pochkhua was a Deputy Commander of Georgian Air Force and Chief of the Air Defense of Air Forces. He was commander of the Air Force from 2008 to 2010. Zurab Zviadauri (born 2 July 1981) is a Georgian judoka who competed in the Judo at the 2004 Summer Olympics – Men's 90 kg, Men's 90 kg at the Judo at the 2004 Summer Olympics, 2004 Summer Olympics and won the gold medal, the first for Georgia. Zurab Zhvania ( ka, ზურაბ ჟვანია; 9 December 1963 – 3 February 2005) was a Georgia (country), Georgian politician, who served as Prime Minister of Georgia and Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia. Zhvania began his political career at a young age as a member of Green Party in the early 90s. In 1993, Zhvania was elected General Secretary of Eduard Shevardnadze's political party. From that point on until his death in 2006, Zhvania played an important role in Georgian politics. In 1995 he became the chairman of parliament and maintained the post until his resignation in 1999, which was followed with the discharge of other ministers whom Zhvania had suspected of corruption. Zurab Konstantinovich Tsereteli ( ka, ზურაბ კონსტანტინეს ძე წერეთელი, tr'';'' 4 January 1934 – 22 April 2025) was a Georgian painter, sculptor and architect known for large-scale and at times controversial monuments. Tsereteli served as the President of the Russian Academy of Arts from 1997 until his death. Life and career Zurab Konstantinovich Tsereteli was born in Tbilisi on 4 January 1934.
