Zelena Dolyna, Donetsk Oblast
Zelena Dolyna () is a village in Kramatorsk Raion of Donetsk Oblast in Ukraine. History Russian invasion of Ukraine During the Russo-Ukrainian War, Russian forces occupied the village from April to September 2022. Ukrainian forces reestablished control over the village by 28 September 2022 as part of an advance towards Lyman. But the trend reversed and the Russian army resumed its offensive in the following months. On July 8, 2025, Russian armed forces invaded the entire village of Zelena Dolyna. Russo-Ukrainian War
The Russo-Ukrainian War began in February 2014 and is ongoing. Dolyna (, ; ; ) is a city in Kalush Raion, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, south-western Ukraine. It hosts the administration of Dolyna urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Population: In 2001, population was around 20,900. History The city's history reaches the 10th century, making it one of oldest in the region. By the 14th century Dolyna became renowned for its salt mine. Lyman, Ukraine
Lyman (, ; ), formerly known as Krasnyi Lyman (; ; ) from 1925 to 2016, is a city in Donetsk Oblast, Ukraine. Until 2016 it also served as the administrative center of Lyman Raion, though administratively it was not part of the raion and incorporated as a city of oblast significance. It still serves as the administrative center of Lyman urban hromada and is part of Kramatorsk Raion. The population was down from 28,172 in 2001. The city had its origins in a military settlement built to guard the southern frontier of the Tsardom of Russia. It grew to become a city following the construction of a railway station, and became a key railway hub in the region. Second Battle Of Lyman
In September 2022, a military engagement took place near Lyman, Ukraine, during a major Ukrainian counteroffensive in Kharkiv Oblast.
