Zavier Scott
Zavier Scott (born July 17, 1999) is an American professional football player who is a running back for the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the UConn Huskies and the Maine Black Bears. Early life Scott was born at the United States Army base Fort Hood (now named Fort Cavazos) in Texas. His father served in the Army, and the family moved several times during Scott's childhood, including to Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, and Germany. While attending Vilseck High School, Scott had the opportunity to play American football against U.S. military base teams across Europe. College career Scott started college at the University of Connecticut in 2017; he redshirted his freshman season. A running back (RB) is a member of the offensive backfield in gridiron football. 2018 UConn Huskies Football Team
The 2018 UConn Huskies football team represented the University of Connecticut during the 2018 NCAA Division I FBS football season as a member of the East Division of the American Athletic Conference. They played their home games at Rentschler Field. They were led by head coach Randy Edsall in his second year of his second stint and 14th year overall. They finished the season 1–11, 0–8 in AAC play to finish in last in the East Division. They set the single-season FBS record for most yards and most points allowed in a single season. Redshirt, in United States college athletics, is a delay or suspension of an athlete's participation in order to lengthen their period of eligibility. Typically, a student's athletic eligibility in a given sport is four seasons, aligning with the four years of academic classes typically required to earn a bachelor's degree at an American college or university. However, in a redshirt year, student athletes may attend classes at the college or university, practice with an athletic team, and "suit up" (wear a team uniform) for play – but they may compete in only a limited number of games (see " Use of status" section). The 2017 UConn Huskies football team represented the University of Connecticut during the 2017 NCAA Division I FBS football season as a member of the East Division of the American Athletic Conference.
