Zaki Mazboudi
Zaki Mazboudi ( ar, زكي مزبودي) (1920–2000) was a Lebanese politician, lawyer and economist. He served as government minister twice and represented the third constituency of Beirut in the Parliament of Lebanon 1972-1992. Education and Career He was born in 1920. Mazboudi studied at the Faculty of Law at Sorbonne. Moreover, he obtained a PhD in Economics from the in 1951. Mazboudi worked at the Ministry of Finance between 1948 and 1966. Parliament Of Lebanon
The Lebanese Parliament ( ar, مجلس النواب, translit=Majlis an-Nuwwab; french: Chambre des députés) is the national parliament of the Republic of Lebanon. There are 128 members elected to a four-year term in multi-member constituencies, apportioned among Lebanon's diverse Christian and Muslim denominations but with half of the seats reserved for Christians and half reserved to Muslims per Constitutional Article 24. Lebanon has universal adult suffrage. Rachid Solh
Rachid Solh ( ar, رشيد الصلح; 22 June 1926 – 27 June 2014) was a Lebanese politician and former Prime Minister, kin of one of the most eminent Sunni Muslim families in the country that brought several of its members to the office of Prime Ministers, and that was originally from Sidon but later moved its civil-records to Beirut. Taif Agreement
The Taif Agreement ( ar, اتفاق الطائف), officially known as the ( ar, وثيقة الوفاق الوطني, label=none'')'', was reached to provide "the basis for the ending of the civil war and the return to political normalcy in Lebanon". Negotiated in Taif, Saudi Arabia, it was designed to end the decades-long Lebanese Civil War, reassert Lebanese government authority in southern Lebanon, which was controlled at the time by the Christian-separatist South Lebanon Army under the occupational hegemony of Israel.
