Yves Calvi
Yves Calvi (born Yves Krettly on 30 August 1959) is a French journalist and television presenter. Early career and education Yves Calvi was born in Boulogne-Billancourt in the department of Hauts-de-Seine. He graduated in modern literature and was a former student at the Institut d'Études Politiques de Paris. He decided to change his family name and take the pseudonym of his father, composer and conductor Gérard Calvi, when he joined Radio France Internationale in 1986 and before joining France Info. He was close to one of the founders of France Info and joined him in 1994 when he rectified the station RMC and then Europe 1 two years later. Radio career After becoming a television presenter on the local channel Télé Lyon Métropole, Yves Calvi became the familiar voice of the station Europe 1. Studio Harcourt is a photography studio founded in 1933 by Cosette Harcourt at 11, rue Christophe-Colomb in Paris. Télé Lyon Métropole is a private local TV channel in the greater Lyon area. The beginning Télé Lyon Métropole (TLM) was launched on 25 November, 1988 by Roger Caille, director of Jet Services, in the Tour du Crédit Lyonnais. Yann Arthus-Bertrand
Yann Arthus-Bertrand (born 13 March 1946) is a French environmentalist, activist, journalist and photographer. He has also directed films about the impact of humans on the planet. He is especially well known for his book ''Earth from Above'' (1999) and his films ''Home'' (2009) and ''Human'' (2015). It is because of this commitment that Yann Arthus-Bertrand was designated Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Environment Programme on Earth Day (22 April 2009). ''Home'' is a 2009 French documentary film by Yann Arthus-Bertrand. The film is almost entirely composed of aerial shots of various places on Earth. It shows the diversity of life on Earth and how humanity is threatening the ecological balance of the planet. The English version was read by Glenn Close. The Spanish version was read by Salma Hayek. The Arabic version was read by Mahmood Said. The film had its world festival premiere at the Dawn Breakers International Film Festival in 2012. Before the festival premier, it was released simultaneously on 5 June 2009, in cinemas across the globe, on DVD, Blu-ray, television, and on YouTube, opening in 181 countries. David Pujadas (, , ; born 2 December 1964) is a French journalist and television host. Patrick Poivre d'Arvor (PPDA; né Patrick Jean Marcel Poivre, ; born 20 September 1947) is a French TV journalist and writer. He is a household name in France, and nicknamed "PPDA". With over 30 years and in excess of 4,500 editions of television news to his credit, he was one of the longest serving newsreaders in the world until he was fired in 2008. He presented his last newscast on TF1 on 10 July 2008. Arlette Chabot
Arlette Chabot (born 21 July 1951) is a prominent French journalist and political commentator. She was until August 2010 the head of the editorial team of France 2. In March 2011 she moved to the radio station Europe 1 to become head of news and information. Chabot began her career at France Inter in 1974, where she was a speaker and headed the political services of the redaction. In 1984, she joined TF1 and headed its political service until 1990. She joined FR3 and became head redactor of the political and economical service. From 1992, she held the same office at France 2.
