Yusuf Khan (actor)
Yusuff Abousher (Egypt, ? - Hyderabad, 1985) was an Egyptian actor based in India who worked in Hindi, Hindi-language films. Although Khan acted in 35 films and remained popular as a rather sympathetic villain through the 1970s and 1980s with films like ''Muqaddar Ka Sikandar'' (1978) and ''Disco Dancer'' (1982), he is best remembered for his role as Zebisko, Parveen Babi's bodyguard in Manmohan Desai's film ''Amar Akbar Anthony'' (1977). Yusuf Khan was born in Egypt as Yousuff Abousher. He came to Bombay, India, and became a Bollywood actor in the late 1960s. He is the father of Bollywood and television actor Faraaz Khan and the stepfather of television actor Fahmaan Khan. He died in Hyderabad in 1985 from a brain hemorrhage. Yousuf Khan (; (1929 – 19 September 2009) was one of the Pakistan, Pakistan's most respected actors. He appeared in more than four hundred films in Urdu language, Urdu, Punjabi language, Punjabi and Pashto language, Pashto languages over his 46 year long career. Career Yousuf Khan made his debut in the Pakistani film ''Parwaaz'' in 1954. He started his film career as a supporting actor, but later matured into a lead actor. He started his film career when the Pakistani film industry was ruled by big name actors like Sudhir (Pakistani actor), Sudhir, Santosh Kumar (actor), Santosh Kumar, Syed Ishrat Abbas, Darpan and Aslam Pervaiz. He made a name for himself first as a romantic hero in Urdu language films. Later on, in the late 1970s and 1980s, he became known as an action hero in Punjabi and Pashto language films.
